I have a 2019 Genesis G70 2.OT AWD Prestige. I have owned two 2015 Hyundai Genesis and driven countless Hyundai and Genesis models. So since I got the car when I use the brake auto hold feature the car make a loud clunking noise at the wheel positions when stopped, sometimes, just front, sometimes just the rear, sometimes both. When it really gets going it will shake and move the whole car like I need an Old Priest and a Young Priest. It is bad enough I am scared to use it for safety reasons. I have had my local dealership look at it for every service appointment I have had since I got the car brand new and shown them videos of the sound and what it does. Have been told they all do this and that is normal. No they don't. Anywho, have recently had more time and had the service manager ride 100 feet around the dealership parking lot and stopped with the auto hold and it did its exorcist thing and he was like "oh yeah, that's not right." They got my car back in, had it a week and when i picked it up I was told they couldn't reproduce the problem and didn't do anything to it. No biggie, got the lead tech in the car with me, drove 50 feet and came to a stop with the auto hold on and the demons were really on one that day and the car was literally shaking back and forth. It was about 3 weeks before they could get be back in and have a loaner for me. Fast forward to today, they have had my car two weeks and are telling me that the noise is perfectly normal and they all do that with auto hold, along with some other condescending stuff I won't go into. Anywho, I have researched online over and over and can't find anything about any cars doing this with auto hold; Genesis/Hyundai or other. I don't feel like the car is safe to drive with auto hold and it would be nice to have that feature back. There is a bigger Genesis Dealership about an hour away I can take it to but I feel like I will be restarting the whole process. I *prostrating* am beseeching you, Genesis owners for any news, advice, guidance, or any other help you can offer on this issue, whether others have had the problem or specific things I can have the service department check.
