OK I know all about the ESC button not really disabling the ESC and that you can pull the fuse to disable the function. But I'm a little confused after todays events.
A couple of buddies at work are always trying to get me to do a burnout in the R Spec. Today, I decided to try a small burnout, thinking not much would happen. I was just playing around a little at first. I had ESC on and held the brakes as I applied some throttle. I could hear the rear wheels spin a little and then felt the Traction Nanny kick in.
They were still trying to get me so I turned the ESC off by just pushing the button. I then held the brakes and applied some throttle. I let off the brakes, applie dabout half throttle, and wound up leaving a nice shinney black stripe about 20 feet long. No Traction Nanny ever kicked in. The Genney accelerated just fine with one wheeel spinning and smoke coming up. I could smell the rubber inside the car.
So I'm a bit confused on two things.
1 The Traction Nanny not kicking in when ESC was off and the wheel was spinning.
2 Why only one wheel spinning?
Or is it that the Traction Nanny was working some and keeping one wheel from spinning? I thought we had LSD in the rear? I know I've seen and heard that with the fuse pulled, you can lay 2 nice black stripes.
