Hi,
I'm new here as I just recently purchased a 2018 Genesis G80 Sport in March this year. It's been a fantastic car, however just the past couple of weeks as it started getting a bit colder I noticed the oil pressure/level light start turning on and off throughout my drive. It seems like it mostly goes away when it it's warm out, it'll only come on every now and then when I'm at a stop. On colder days it seems to be on most of the time except when I'm accelerating. The car seems to run fine, but could be masked by all of the sound dampening. Is this possible it's just a sensor or have others seen this indicate something much worse? I'm a 2nd owner right under 65,000 miles, so the powertrain warranty that would've carried over just expired. I'm nervous that I could be seeing a big bill if it isn't just a sensor. Anyone else have an experience like this?
I did check the oil when I first saw the light and it was between the F and L marks, which usually indicate it should be fine, but I went ahead and topped it off with about half a quart of oil (last oil change was about 3,000 miles ago). This made the light go away mostly on warmer (70 degrees +) days, but today (around 45-50) it was on most of my drive except when I was actively accelerating.
