  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

On my Lexus GS350 the Key Fob can sync with the Seat, Steering wheel, Mirrors memory. I have 3 different memory positions in the Car and I can sync my Key Fob with this setting.

That way when my wife unlocks the car the seat, steering wheel and mirrors adjust to her fob, and I when I open the door, it adjusts to mine.

Just wondering if the Genesis has this feature?

Are you sure about that? I always thought it recognized which remote was used when you set the memory setting. I'm going to have to go home tonight and program a different setting using my other key fob and the #2 memory setting to verify.

On my Lexus you have to push the Memory button and the Fob unlock or lock button at the same time and hold them for a second or two and it will then snyc the fob to the Memory button.

Please post your findings on this. I would love to have this option.

I'm not sure if there is a way to program it, but I do know that my girlfriends setting is number #2 and when she is done driving I unlock the car and it is still stuck in setting 2. I have to manually hit the #1 button.

Does not have this.

When you get in after your wife drove the car, while getting in, just touch the correct button for yourself, and the seat will adjust while you are getting in.

Doesn't have it and I agree it would be a nice feature. Our Volvo XC70 had this feature. It automatically adjusted the seat to whichever FOB opened it.

My TL had this feature as well. It is a nice touch. A couple of other nice touches I miss from the Acura are a clock that automatically adjusts to satellite time for GPS and time zone, and a calendar (surprisingly, this was very useful). The Genesis is still in a completely different league than my TL, however.

New to the forum. Do the memory buttons work with the car off? That was one of the things I criticized my 06 Azera Limited for when answering Hyundai new car survey. My wife is much small than I am and I couldn't get behind the wheel until I put the seat down and back, but couldn't use the memory buttons until the key was on. Thinking about a 2011.

My 2009 Genesis 4.6/Tech will respond to the 1/2 memory buttons with the engine OFF - I just went out to the garage and tried it... standing there next to the car, door open. But doing that looses the "easy access" feature that moves the seat back & steering wheel up when the door opens. Right now my seat and steering wheel are in the "driving" position so it'll be harder than normal to get into the car. Closing & re-opening the door didn't activate the easy access either.

OOPs I forgot about the easy entry moving the seat back, on my Azera, only the steering wheel moves. Guess it's best of both worlds. As far as the key fob, it seems that if using the handle unlock, the car can't know which fob is on drivers side.
