I'm just looking for input from my fellow G70 owners who live in colder climates and got the block heater option. I'm just wondering, do you notice any noise when it's plugged in? As well, do you notice much improvement in how fast your car gets warm after you start it when it's been plugged in? I ask because I have the block heater but am uncertain if it's working properly, as the couple times I've had to plug it in, I don't hear any noise of coolant circulating, my car seems to crank about the same amount plugged in vs not plugged in when cold, and it seems to sit at high idle for the same amount of time and get to normal operating temps in the same amount of time, so I'm not sure my block heater is working and wondering if I need to get it looked at. Any info would be appreciated! My previous 2 cars didn't have block heaters so I don't know what to expect with a modern block heater as to how it sounds and the impact it has, the last car I had with a block heater was a 1999 Cherokee and you could definitely hear the block heater circulating coolant and it made a noticeable difference when starting and warming up versus not plugged in. Thanks all!
