  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What did you pay for your new Genesis GV70?

Is $449 an acceptable DOC FEE? That seems to be the only thing I see being added on to the GV70 3.5 Sports Prestige at Cherry Hill

(and I think this is the Sports Prestige although it doesn't state PRESTIGE in the description)

In NJ, $449. is probably an acceptable DOC Fee if you are getting the GV70 at MSRP. Question. Why didn't you click on the window sticker in the ad? It tells you everything about the vehicle including that it is the Prestige model and also lists the factory equipped Genesis options like cargo net, etc.

I didn't think of clicking on the window sticker. That's a bad oversight on my part. I was more interested in working out the financing options.

Question: Genesis Concierge offers delivery of your new vehicle. Any idea what the mileage limits are from the dealership? I am almost 80 miles from that dealership

Just an FYI on the red 3.5T Prestige that you are looking at. That GV70 has been sitting someplace for awhile or may have been their demo. Check the VIN which ends in 12229. My recently purchased GV70 has a VIN that ends in 48xxx. On the inside drivers side pillar, my build date was Oct. 2021. I am thinking the red 3.5 may have had a build date of March or April. Check out GV70 vehicles coming into dealerships now with VIN numbers that are 50xxx or even 51xxx. Hope this helps.

Anyone have any luck finding MSRP or below in NY/NJ/CT? Trying to get a Grey/White with black interior 2.5 Advanced and Cherry Hill was willing to do MSRP but then added on $2k in warranty and other coverages that could not be waived, and also lowballed my trade in $21k compared to $23.5k from carmax, but I want that tax credit).
Genesis of Fairfield. Ask for Charles Goldstein. I just picked mine up 2 weeks ago. A 3.5 sport advance. Black/Black. Paid MSRP and no surprises along with a fair trade price. I came from LI as the dealers near me were either 2 to 3k above MSRP, unprofessional and obnoxious.

I’m a little surprised to see a practically new 3.5 Sport Prestige about $2k under MSRP, but not sure if this dealer has other mandatory stuff they tack onto the sales price.

I would be very skeptical. 207 miles and used, for sale? 😒

I agree. Surprised they did not include Carfax report on the GV70 like most dealers do on a used vehicle. This way you could see history of car with servicing, etc. With a VIN that ends in 10958, it is an early 2021 build (March?). Most GV70 vehicles coming into dealerships now have VIN numbers that end in 50xxx. Maybe it was a demo? I would not proceed without Carfax report!!

Yeah I assume the build date was March because the VIN on my GV70 is similar and has the Mar/21 build date. Probably a demo car that just barely got driven.

Not to mention, you lose half of the powertrain warranty when purchasing used.

I'd be a little wary given the faulty transfer cases in some of the 3.5s too.

Wouldn't a Demo vehicle still be technically new as it was never registered? If marked as pre-owned, I highly doubt it is a Demo. Only way to be sure is to run a car fax.

Yep. I’m 51704, purchased on 12/22 straight off the truck.

Congratulations!! What's the build date on the driver's side door pillar label? I'm guessing 11/21.

I think a loaner vehicle can not be considered a Demo. . It would be considered used . Now considering the difficulty in getting the GV70’s , I would bet some dealers are selling their loaners .

Thanks for the great info in this forum. I am frustrated. Trying to buy a GV70 Advance, local dealer (Tulsa, OK area) quoted 7995 over price on sticker (plus taxes, etc.) for any GV70. GV80 were 8995 over MSRP. I really like the GV70 but, maybe its principal, not going to pay 15% markup of sticker (in this case about $52K). Any thoughts or suggestions on Midwest dealers who might be more reasonable. I understand MSRP might be a pipe dream these days, but this is crazy. BMW x3 was list price at dealership across the street. I don't like the X3 as well, but, its quite a bit less expensive. Thanks for any advice!

you may have to look at dealers outside your area. Go online . there are reports here of getting GV70 at MSRP ( or lower in Detroit area ) as well as other places . Look back in older posts . You may have to travel or have shipped but it’s better than spending $8000 over list.
