  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey y’all.

I’m pretty new to the forum and have a ‘22 G70 RWD 3.3T. I’m looking to fit wider tires and wheels to get a more aggressive look and help with traction since I got tons of spin with the JB4. The only issue is I have no idea what aspect ratio or offset to get. It’s something I haven’t been able to figure out, even with videos and sites like willtheyfit. I saw a forum member with these wheels and tires:

@Miltonguerrero93
With coilovers
Vossens vfs2
Front: 20x9 +32 with 20mm spacer
245/35/20 nitto nt555 g2

Rear: 20x10.5 +45
305/30/20 nitto nt555 g2
(Slight rub on bumps and dips)

The difference between his setup and my desired setup is that I’m trying to keep the 19” wheel size instead of his 20s, and I’ll like 19x9.5 wheels in the front to fit 255 width tires up there with no spacer. I also don’t intend on getting coil overs. So ideally this is what my setup would be (words mean values I don’t know):

Front: 19x9.5 +OffsetFront
255/AspectFront/19

Rear: 19x10.5 +OffsetRear
305/AspectRear/19

If anyone could help me with this it’d be greatly appreciated!

I'm also interested in the widest rear tire you can run on a 19 inch wheel without rubbing. My rwd car with jb4 tends to blow the ps4s right off

Ha, i love this question. I currently run 19x9.5 +35 and 19x8.5 +35 wheels with a 12mm spacer in front. 285/30/19 tires and 245/35/19 tires. This is absolutely the limit for rear tires especially because it's lowered 1.4" on eibach springs.

On AWD you need to watch rolling diameter tolerances. Mine is 0.6% difference front and rear.

Anyone in this thread, willtheyfit.com was KEY for finding this setup.

I would not suggest running 20" wheels on these cars, will ride terribly and they look way too large.

I’m pretty sure I figured it out and placed my order. Rotary forged wheels 19x8.5 +32 in front and 19x10.5 +45 in back. It’ll be able to fit 255/35/19 up front and 305/30/19 in back. With this offset you’re basically fitting the widest possible tires on a g70. You may be able to lower it but I’m not lowered.

In that case, I'm gonna need pics when you get them on...

Are you real-wheel drive or all-wheel drive?

255s up front and 305s in back. Specs shown above. Tiny amount of poke in back but it’s not noticeable unless you’re pretty close since it looks flush from far away

Looks great. I didn't know we can get 305s on 19x10.5 to fit. Glad you tried it. I'm also looking to change wheels in the near future. Are you RWD or AWD? Have you noticed a significant reduction in tire spin?

I’m rwd. I’d say about 90% less tire spin overall it’s very reduced especially from a dig with a JB4

Looks good. Congrats on your setup.

Wow! How are those steam rollers in the rain? Have you noticed more tire noise on the highway? That's one of my biggest complaints with my 911 which has that size rear tire. Of course it's a smaller car and may have less sound deadening than the G70.

We recently got lots of rain near and even ice near Dallas and it handles pretty well. I’m not so sure on the tire noise since I do have a loud exhaust so I hear that more than anything

I'll be running practically the same setup, except I have 275 rears. Well, if they ever show up. Last set took 3 months to come in. Will post when they're on the car.
