  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

cigarette lighter fuse?

I'm having this problem as well. I have the fuse box opened right now but there's no white fuse. 2011 4.6. Please help
Where you able to find it ? I have a 2013 and I don’t see that white 25 amp fuse under the hood

About a week ago both of them just randomly stopped working, but the blue light around the front one still turns on. Does anyone know the location of the fuse for the front and back cigarette lighters and what its called? i looked in all 3 fuse boxes and the owners manual but couldn't find any that could be related. Have any of you blown the cig lighter fuse?
I changed my 25 amp under hood on right side of motor but still not working. Do I need to check other fuses?

The fuse you are looking for is in the fuse box on the right side of the engine compartment towards the front. It is a 25 amp fuse. This fuse provides power to the 15 and 10 amp fuses in the passanger side fuse box. The 15 amp fuse is for the cigarette lighter next to the ash tray and the 10 amp is for the power plug in the storage compartment next to the USB plug.
I have a 2010 genesis with this issue and I looked under the hood there is no 25a fuse nor a spot for one to go.

nevermind, found it! so i guess this is the main fuse for the cigarette lighters. ahhh now i can finally charge my phone in the car again. thank you!
Wait!!! What was the name of the fuse!!!

It is the only 25 amp
Make sure you are looking in correct fuse box. If you see spares next to a fuse puller, wrong box. Look on other side right next to windshield washer fluid spout. whew

Thank you for pointing that out, especially for those of us that don't know are own cars. Thank you

I forgot that there are 4 fuse box locations, 2 inside the car when you open the door driver/passenger and 2 in the engine bay driver/passenger.

My 25amp blew and was about to replace with a 30amp as I couldn't find one until reading this post I realized the spares are on the passenger side engine bay.

What brand are you guys replacing it with? I could get those Amazon fuse box kits with 250 pieces but not sure about the quality.......

My windshield blower seems to not work and all else works so for a moment I thought this might be related but that wasn't the case (not sure if there are any other fuses related to this but but its most likely the blower itself or other components as others have responded in other threads).

There's no separate blower. There's just the one blower for the HVAC. There are little doors that control where air does and doesn't go. The doors are opened and closed by electric actuators. You defrost actuator has probably failed.

I have a manual from a user but I still cannot figure out where that part is and how to fix it.....you are correct about just the defrost actuator. When I put the air on the "Front" nothing really blows up but I get air from the 2 side vents and nothing in the center. When I select the Face option I do get air from all 4 vents (nothing on the front/top).

Waiting for warmer weather so I have time to understand things lol.

I am confirming as well (dont have time for a photo) that my 2012 38 Tech has a Lighter in the front and in the center console/arm rest in the deeper pocket, along with a usb connection in there as well.

The cigar lighter is not intended to be used inside the console. That one is a charger port.

Okay I get it but all I am saying is that there is a Cig Lighter "Port" in the arm rest as opposed to a traditional Cig Lighter of which there is only 1 in the front.....semantics aside those 2 are interchangeably used unless you are an actual Cig Smoker....

Who would plug a cigar lighter into the 12V port under the armrest?

The vehicle came from the factory with the one and only Cigar lighter in the ash tray, right where it belongs, next to the ashtray.
