  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm still waiting for the dealer to send me the rimm caps with the wings. I'm also very very very very undecided on the wing up front. Part of me is itching to put it on. Would it be too hard to take it out down the road?

Nice looking car. I decided not to put on the hood badge.

Isn't it amazing the effect the wing badge has on the rear of the car? It almost looks like a different vehicle.

I was undecided too, but am really glad I installed it. Without the emblem the front of the car looks a bit nondescript...generic. With the original Korean emblem it proclaims clearly that it is a Genesis.

It shouldn't be any tougher to remove than any of the other emblems. I removed the "GENESIS" words from the rear trunk because, IMHO, it looks cleaner without them, and the rear hood emblem already says "Genesis."

After months of deceiding about the front one, I put it on. I like the look with front one on, glad I did it...

I'm going for it...

Also, the car without the genesis lettering looks sweet too!

I'll upload new pics with the emblem on, hopefully done by Monday.

Thanks!

Love that color. Thanks for sharing the pics. :)

I got the same color!!!! Put the hood badge on! You won't regret it!

I'm also going to take the Genesis 4.6 off as well. It looks so clean without it!

I was reluctant to put the hood badge on also but after I did I would not have it any other way. I vote triple yes to the hood badge install. Without the badge you get mistaken for a Mercedes. With the badge it like what the heck was that, Bentley? Rolls? Aston? :D

Nice car, and the rear wing really adds some flavor. The front hood emblem is a 50/50 option. Some like it, some don't. I don't have the front, but I've seen a few models and it looks nice. It's a debatable decision.

I would sure like to get rid of my front license plate, but the State of Washington chooses to differ. Pretty car enjoy.

You guys rock! Thank you very much for all the feedback!

I'll post updated pics this week with the wing in the front.

I was ticketed $55 while parked for not having the front plate affixed. Didn't think meter maids had that authority.

Another Genesis desparado!

You know what's funny. The car looks luxurious and I'm young that I can tell some people look at me like "What's this punk driving this fancy car?" People are weeeeeeeeeeeiiiiiird! I bet I'll be picked on for the same little bs stuff like no front plates.

Added the front wing to the hood. Took me 10 minutes to use the dremel and sand down the nobs and 5 minutes to install on a clean surface. Personally, after much debate the front wing adds to the car. I really like it...

Also, does anyone know if these rock chips can be removed? I have 2 small ones on the bumper and molding. It looks like it lifted the pain a bit, nothing huge but still super annoying! :-)

Thanks!

Looks nice with the front wing badge!
Okay, I'm sold. I'm putting mine on this weekend. :D

Ouch.. that rock chip sticks out like a sore thumb.
With some patience and elbow grease, you can fix it.

1. get a matching touch-up paint.
2. remove excessive damage from the chip area with a sharp blade.
3. fill in the chip with enough paint.
4. after completely letting it cure for over 24 hours, start wet sanding the area to blend it in.
5. Polish the spot.
6. wax/sealant.
