Pre-orders? Yes. Confirmed orders under full contract? No. Not without price.Yes they have.
The big question is whether they'll raise the threshold enough. I think it needs to be raising to $65K before it could impact Genesis's decision making.I would guess we wont see pricing until after the Federal budget on the 7th. There will likely be an update to the Canada EV Incentive program to include higher priced vehicles. Genesis may want to see if they can increse pricing while allowing consumers to take advantage of the incentive.
All it needs is for the base model to come in under the cap. Then upper level models or accessories can be added on top of that and you can still get the rebateThe big question is whether they'll raise the threshold enough. That informed my comment. The base "Advanced" would need to be $64,999 for example. Unless Genesis disabled some features to bring it in under $60K (if that was the threshold) as a base model and then allowed buyers to add them as a software update. I can't see them changing the actual trim levels at the factory level, it's too late for that. All it needs is for the base model to come in under the cap. In Korea they have a single motor version with some features removed. Maybe they could add that as a base model. That informed my comment. The base "Advanced" would need to be $64,999 for example. We’ve had dealers suggesting prices all over the map. If your dealer is right it woul be very sad. I don’t understand paying in the 80s to,drive a car.My dealer contact suggested the Performance model pricing would be in the “80’s” and the Advanced would be in the “70’s”. i hope we see pricing this month.
If its in the low 70s cad for the top trim then i will buy it , if it comes close to 80s i will keep my G70 and pay it off and use it till it dies , honestly kinda hope its in the 80s so i dont put myself into another car loan hahaha ,We’ve had dealers suggesting prices all over the map. I'm worried I'm falling for a troll here, but WHAT?I don’t think it’s worth much more than the Ioniq 5, it’s basically the same with a different badge and sheet metal
It seemed to me that there was almost no time between the GV60 being announced for the UK and pricing being released. It certainly seems strange that we’re so far from announcement and orders and still don’t have pricing.I’m starting to lose interest in this delay game. In my own comparisons between the GV60 price in the UK & Germany & Audi & Tesla, the price of the GV60 exceeds their models, which is very odd as their other Genesis petrol cars are cheaper when compared. As Minibari‘s chart showed earlier, it looks like the Perf model will be low 80’s. Who knows but this big secret about price is really annoying.
I hadn’t thought of that, but you raise a good point. I don’t think anyone is ready for a $100K electric GV80 - or any other Genesis At that price.Genesis cannot price the Gv60 in the 80s cad , there is no room left over for the electrified Gv70 in a year or 2 , that would put the electric Gv70 in the 90s , like jesus christ
Did you drive the top of the line with the ultimates package? That’s 63000$ on the road price, has all the same features as the gv60, and a nice leather interior.I'm worried I'm falling for a troll here, but WHAT?
I test drove an Ioniq 5, it is a bare bones vehicle. I could not live with the interior.
Many of us are debating whether the GV60 is worth $15 - $20K more than the Ioniq, but no way are they "basically the same." The list of differences is far more significant than just the badge and sheet metal.
They really could do that for this year and maybe next , i was hoping they would not so us potential customers could get a fair no haggle price and maybe take advantage of high trade in values , that said the success of the ev6 and ioniq may give them the idea to price higher than they would have, I think the G70 is the best bang for buck in their lineup and you loose value as you go up in the lineupI hadn’t thought of that, but you raise a good point. I don’t think anyone is ready for a $100K electric GV80 - or any other Genesis At that price.
Having said that, cars, and EVs in particular are in very short supply right now. Why wouldn’t they price it to reflect the current market dynamics, then throw discounts at consumers in future years once supply is better?
