  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

GV60 Canadian Deposit - Local Dealer Information & Timelines

My dealer in Montreal received their Performance demo late last week and was kind enough to have me come by for the first drive Saturday morning. I have to echo all your thoughts and although they will not be getting an Advanced demo, both the dealer and I can't find any reason to take the Performance unless you have extra cash to spend. Unless the B&O sound system (which is fantastic btw), 360 and blind spot cameras, HUD and extra horsepower with boost is a must, the Advanced seems to be a far better purchase. Honestly, the only thing I find myself missing in the Advanced is the blue interior with yellow stitching, which really is super sharp.

We all have our own budgets, opinions and perceptions of value, but for me, the Performance is worth the extra money.

  • 170HP doesn't come cheaply. I don't think you'd find an option for an incremental 100HP on any vehicle for less than a few grand. Look at the difference in price between the standard and performance versions of a Tesla.
  • A 1" wheel upgrade typically runs about $1000. Personally, I wouldn't have paid for such an option on an EV as it reduces range, but most people in the market seem to be happy to do so.
  • Adjustable suspensions aren't cheap - running a couple grand as a standalone option.
  • Blind spot monitor is a neat feature, it seems to be a favourite of the journalists that have reviewed the GV60 . Not sure how to value it, as it seems to be unique to the Hyundai products.
  • I had an optional B&O system in a prior vehicle - it was a $4000 option there, and something I quite liked.

Doe anyone know?

I looked at the price for mats, etc. and decided to wait util Weathertech made something available. $500 for front & rear floor mats is a little pricey.

Perhaps you could try online? I've found genuine Volvo accessories available at substantial discounts in the past.

Try TuxMat. Better coverage than Weatertech and more supple.

I've looked at TuxMat before for prior vehicles. I will keep them in mind. I've also had 3D Maxpider mats in other cars as well. All are good - I'll likely end up going with whatever is first available.

I was sloppily using 'Weathertech' like 'Kleenex' - to refer generically to customer mats. :)

If they don't have it for a new model, they tend to ask you to come in for a 3D scan and hook you up with a free set for letting them scan the vehicle.

Dibs! How do I sign up for that? :)
Don’t anyone here try to beat me to it. :)

I need to get my car first. No sign of that yet !

They did it for the G70 when it was new in 2018. I'm sure it's still a current practice to be able to offer it to the market quicker!

Maybe it's different in CAN but the US version of Advanced has the B&O system and Blind spot & surround view monitors, making the US$9k upgrade to Performance a tougher pill to swallow.

Wow they really held back on the Advanced for you guys. What's the price difference between the two?

No one is going to have anything yet. GV60 is too new. I think we’re stuck with OEM for a while.

$8000. The advanced does have heated rear seats and Napa leather in it though in canada.

I reached out to my Toronto Yorkdale dealer. I’ve got a test drive set up this Saturday, but out of the Hyundai dealership on Dufferin - since the Genesis location is not ready yet.

I finally got a rank # of 659 for the advanced I pre-ordered at the end of April - with no ETA for delivery (originally it was verbally November 2022).

I’m still torn between the GV60 advanced and the ioniq 5 ultimate (which apparently has not actually been ordered yet and is waiting for “June” to go live for 2023). I think the price on the 2023 ioniq 5 will inform the decision.

Can anyone answer my original question: would the floor mats price be determined by Genesis with no dealer wiggle room or did my sales guy give me b.s.?

I wouldn't be surprised if they stay firm on prices. Just like the EV itself, they know they're the only game in town for floor mats, at least initially.

If it shows up on the window sticker, then it's mfr installed and can't be negotiated. If not, then it's a dealer addon with negotiating room. US window sticker:

With Genesis, the price is the price.
