GV60 Canadian Deposit - Local Dealer Information & Timelines

We absolutely love out GV60 and yet the whole process was unnecessarily dumb in the US as well.

The 2 prior cars we ordered in advance (BMW & Audi) had this wonderful process where you could track the car from order, to build, to where the cargo ship was in the water, to the port, to the dealer, real-time online!
With the GV60 dealer it was bi-weekly calls/email requests for an update and it was typically met with something like - “Oh, we’re sorry, we don’t really have any way to track the car except that it will be delayed another couple of weeks or so”.

I really don’t blame the dealer/salesperson, because moving goods out of ports and supply chain issues once the car in on the continent mess up a lot (shortage of car-transport-truck drivers for instance). And forget the Gen so called concierge service - they didn’t have a clue where the car was in the process.
Genesis truly needs to use the technology that has been around for almost a decade to track their cars!

Still… hands off our GV60! One of the best cars we’ve ever owned!!!

What date did the rep give you? Seems like mine was on the train for 4 weeks!... But it made it to the dealer at the specified date on file.

None... i have no date .. just know it was in Toronto friday the 17 of March

Ask your rep he should have it. Mine (at Genesis Laval) provided that date (Feb 18th) back in January.

You’re best to call either your closest or your preferred local Genesis dealership for the information, you’ll have to contact them anyway if you do leave a deposit.

I've had my GV60P since last September. I typically (warm weather) was getting about 380 km range. My brother recently took delivery of an Ionic5 Preferred long-range 4wd. He is getting 500+ km range. He sent me the following video and I implemented some of the suggestions. I think the biggest change that I made was switching from my normal maximum regeneration to auto-regeneration and now regularly see 460 or even 460+ in the achieved range when occasionally charging to 100%.

BTW, (unrelated) I was watching a YouTube video yesterday that was filmed in a Tesla LR Y. They were excited that it achieved 480 km range. I couldn't believe how plain and boring and banal the interior was and also how noisy it was and how everything needed to be controlled through the screen. I had forgotten about this.
