  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Rim, coil over and lowering springs help!

I'm glad you were able to get it figured out. I can't wait to see the car!
New problem…trying to take off the gas door to install a carbon fiber gas door. Watched YouTube videos from Kurt and Twin2erTurbo changing out their gas cover doors….it’s a pain in the aSSS…I’ve already ordered a new Gas fuel filler compartment. Scratched the crap out of my fuel filler compartment using the slotted flathead method. Tried Trim tool method already…snapped the trim tool in half. I see an installer shop in my future. LOL!

Glad I'm not the only one that runs into BS problems when modifying vehicle. One of the studs in the engine compartment that gets used to install the addw1 catch cans snapped off on me. It's always something 😂

Hey Jawn,

Just viewed your picture! That 1.4 drop is super aggressive. Thinking maybe I should have went with the ARK GT-F’s at .75 drop. The M&S lowering springs are 1.4 drop front…1.2 back drop. Maybe need to run a 19x9.5 back and 19x9.0 fron….
Yeah, they are aggressive. The ARK ones are a nice middle ground. But the Eibach ones look so good...and they ride great still.

Those are good tires. If you put the numbers in willtheyfit.com you can compare them to my setup (but you know that already). I've had them on two different cars for 50,000 miles total and they never let me down in any weather.

She's a beauty! What do you think about the new look and feel?

Notice a little firmer feel around corners…love the look…we’ll see how it looks when the coils finally settle in! I'm looking forward to see how the wheels and tires will look with the coils.(flush and drop). Waiting on carbon fiber to ship across...still pondering “cold air intakes”….everything is on back order besides BMS. I have ADDW1 BOV’s and ADDW1 catch cans but I’m due for an oil change soon. I'm getting a feeling the dealership where I purchased my vehicle are A-holes.

I pre-ordered these in April. They are supposed to ship sometime here in June.

The only thing I'll probably remove from my car if I take it in for service would be the JB4. I guess I'm just not too concerned about their opinions or commentary on my BOVs, catch cans, and intakes. I'm the 2nd owner of my car so the bumper to bumper warranty no longer applies. If I remember correctly, they told me I've still got a 5 year 60000 mile warranty for the drive train. Regardless, the warranty stuff is just not that big of a deal for me. Purchased it with about 750 miles.

We should start a wheel and tire thread if there isn't one already.

My Takeda intakes arrived yesterday! They look great!

Mine are supposed to arrive on Tuesday but the tracking says they are put for delivery today.
They never sent me an order update so I contacted AFE to check on my order status and they shipped out the next day. I was a bit disappointed that AFE wasn't more proactive with my order considering I pre-ordered the intakes 2 months ago. First world problems I guess😂😂😂. Can't wait to get mine installed.

Pictures??

This is my current dilemma….feels like I’m going to break the OEM vent…OEM mirror cap is a bitch too…I ordered my intakes 2 weeks ago…weird

What are you trying to accomplish?

What are you trying to accomplish?
I have carbon fiber mirror caps and side vents…think I’m screwed on both ends…believe the vents are screwed in…need to take off the whole panel. On Genesis Forum, the side mirror cap replacement is very technical.

So, I wanted to update you all on my wheels. I decided to add a 5mm spacer on the front. I don't know if it could be any more flush😁. The front wheels are 8.5x19 et+30. The 5mm spacer basically makes the front wheels 8.5x19 et+25. Really happy with the look! Now to find a machine shop that can take 5mm off of the rear wheels (9.5x19 et+35) to get rid of the small amount of poke back there.🤔

I'd also like to take the time to congratulate Stance Wheels for being completely wrong on their recommended numbers😂.

The G70's look so much better when they are lowered regardless of what brand of spring one chooses.

Any idea when your wheels and tires will be in? Are you installing the LED'S? What's the ADRO kit? I apologize for the rapid fire questions 😂
