This is again, another Genesis Canada frustration.
I'm being watching over the US GV60 facebook group. People are getting delivery as quick within 30days of their order. WTF.
Canadian had our reservation back in February, the Genesis Priority One were available toward Mid April, Genesis Canada really has no priority to the US market? Common'
We gets less attention, great. But why the korean are shipping earlier up to the American, and Canadian second? We have way less order thru (my assumption), and we had our reserveation opened much earlier than theirs. We should gets delivery sooner than theirs.
Genesis Canada, if someone read this group, please escalate for our Canadian Market.

I’m interested to hear how deliveries go for those receiving today/this weekend.

Are you going to the dealership or having it delivered to your home/work? Did you have a choice? Do they walk you through all of the car and infotainment setup? Any surprises - good or bad?

Has anyone with an advance model heard anything regarding delivery? All my dealer has ever given me is I have no information regarding your build but I’ll let you know. I can’t even get a rank or anything from them it’s like pulling teeth

At the same time the GV60 isn't even available in 46 states, so it's a bit disingenuous to say that American customers are getting preferential treatment. Supply chain issues are a real thing, and Hyundai is rationing vehicles.

I know Mouch99 is likely getting a Advanced in Montreal in the next few weeks. Cardiff Green with Black interior. He was ranked number 1 though.

Ya that's right, so could be that I'm a bit of an outlier with the Advanced trims. My sales manager told me today though that all deliveries are being pushed a week regardless because of their training in Niagara next week, but that they have been told to expecta quick influx of cars before July since Genesis wants to show sales.

Don, from Genesis Calgary arrived at the house at about noon today with my car. We handled the paperwork on the back deck, and then he took me through a few things in the car. Genesis has training for their salespeople next week, so he didn't have a lot of info on the GV60, but took me through the usual Genesis features, etc. He's been very good throughout this process. At points, I felt like he wasn't sharing much information, but realized part way through that the information most other salespeople were providing was just their guesses, and Don was wise to choose his words carefully. I'd have no qualms with recommending him to others.

I spent the next three hours or so going through the owner's manual, and customizing settings, etc. I quite like all the storage spots. The trunk floor folds in a couple different ways, allowing me to hide shopping bags and other items below the deck. I've got my 12V booster pack and an extension cord (if I ever need to charge at 120V) in the frunk, and the center console and glove box allow me to neatly place things much better than I could in my last vehicle. I've got a couple towels laying down in the hatch until I can find a cargo liner.

The car was delivered with about 35% charge, so after I got things setup I drove to the nearest DC fast charger, which was a PetroCan site. It had two charge units with 350kw CCS and Chademo plugs on each. There was a couple at one of the chargers with a Nissan Leaf. Neither of us could get the units working, I called the 800 number shown, the person on the phone rebooted both units with no success. I should have checked PlugShare before heading out as it's been reported as non-functional for some time. The folks with the Leaf said that PetroCan chargers are notoriously unreliable.

I'm really enjoying the car so far. It's taking some time to get my driving position set up comfortably and get used to the controls. I was worried the driving position would feel too high for me as I've been driving sedans for the last eight years, but it has been just fine. I tested out the remote parking feature, which is pretty cool.

The things that may take some time to get used to for me are the width of the vehicle - it is quite wide, and the rear hatch makes and odd noise when it latches. I'm not sure if mine is off somehow or if that's just the way it is, but it is a little loud. I also need to find that post about how to adjust the headrests beck, as they do seem a little far forward.

Congrats on taking delivery! Unfortunate you have to deal with broken Petro units so soon into ownership. I drive a Tesla right now and trying to use the Petro stations almost anywhere in an exercise in patience - that BTCPower hardware isn't famous for working well. However, if you're ever coming east from Calgary on highway 1, the Co-op chargers are very reliable and way better to depend on for a roadtrip when the Petro ones don't handshake. Luckily in Calgary though you have the Electrify Canada units within the city to try and that are usually way more reliable. Sounds like overall you had a really positive experience in the buying process which is refreshing to hear. Hopefully all the future deliveries are just as smooth in Canada as well.

Did the car arrived at your driveway with all the plastic wraps on still inside and outside? I've seen other delivery in Asia where you will have to peel off all plastic wraps (which I prefer as a new owner and I'm sure many will share this with me lol).

Were there any cosmetic defects or other concerns while you were inspecting the car? I'm actually surprised they didn't fully charged the car for you because dealer usually fill up the tank for delivery (at least in my experience with gas cars). Great to hear all the positive about the delivery experiencen!

Most plastic was removed. I found a couple small pieces throughout the day still on. Perhaps they’d leave it on if you asked?
I was also surprised they didn’t charge it. It was no big deal, though. I stopped at a free 24kw charger last night while I installed my dashcam and now have it up to 80%.
My pan is to maintain the battery at 50% unless I’m planning to head out of town.

BTW, The crystal sphere looks damn cool in the dark. It took a little getting used to as I’d reach for the infotainment knob for the first while.
The handwriting input is also very cool.

Thanks for sharing!

Were there any functions that were “promised”, but not available (e.g. fingerprint, facial, etc.)? Did you get connected to all Genesis services?

Sounds like things should only improve from the dealer end after the niagara dealer conference.

Everything so far works as expected. I was originally told it would have ADB headlights, but after asking a few questions I got confirmation they were not functional. I’m still waiting on a call back from Genesis HQ on whether we may see it in the future through a SW update.

I actually had app control of the car a couple days before I had the car itself. The app is nicely functional, but not as intuitive to use as the Volvo app for my prior vehicle.
