  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What was your last ride and what do you miss about it?

The ZX-6 is a good bike, light and good on the twisties. I have the 14. Fast, heavy and not so good on the twisties.

With NOS I get up to 240 hp.

I'll be coming down Fathers Day weekend. Maybe we can get together then. Like your paintings.

My last car was a Chrysler 300C. I think my Genesis v8 Tech is superior is almost every way except for the sound system. I had the premium sound package, which had incredible sound. As other have complained on the forum, the Genesis system has very weak base and kind of a tinny sound. The sub-woofer on the 300C was oustanding... and I miss it a lot.

Sound system is probably the first thing I'd say is superior than most of the cars in the market.
I think you're more into bass-heavy systems which is suitable for R&B/Rap kind of music.
The frequency response on the Lexicon is very flat, meaning it recreates the sound very close to how it was recorded/mastered, and most higher-end audio systems tend to do that.

My preference in sound is somewhat in between. I think the bass in the Lexicon is perfect when DVD formats are played, but I do prefer more bass during mp3/CD playback.
I added a sub and an amp to add more bass and I'm pretty happy with it.
You might wanna look into that option. :)

All I need to know is that the only other car with a Lexicon system in it is a Rolls Royce.:D:cool:

Yup, I'm probably going to do that. Since there is already a thread on how poor the sound system is on in the Genesis, I'm not going to argue too much with you here. For me, IMO the sound is more than just flat... it's dull.. no matter what type of music you're listening to. However, I knew what I was getting into before I bought it thanks to this forum. Definitely the worst sounding system I've owned in any of my last 2 or 3 cars. It does sound like others have gotten good results by upgrading the sub. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!

To each his own. Obviously, the Lexicon is not for you.
Hope you get to enjoy it more by tweaking the system to your liking.

Holy shit man, clean out your ears!!!!!

500+ watts of 7.1 discrete to your dome and its the worst sounding audio system ever? I could understand adding a little more bass but.....

...maybe you might want to get your amp checked out. It could be bad and not pumping like it should be. I've heard my amp go in and out before... what format of music are you listening to? CD/DVD?
