  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Reported Issues with the Genesis GV60

The GV70 has a more vertically raked rear window.
But I think it was completely stupid that the GV60 doesn't have a rear wiper.

This poor soul has a leak from the back hatch.

I think it's perhaps the biggest oversight on the car.

It's definitely a strange design decision. There are two separate windows, with the spoiler in between them.

Now makes more sense. As someone posted a leak in their GV60 rear window

I agree. However, from looking at this early prototype, the rear wiper is a real eye sore. It's one of those double edged swords of function at the cost of aesthetics.

Since there is a huge uproar about this from all three camps with the EV6, IONIQ5 and GV60, maybe HMG will design a low profile wiper that can be tucked away up in the rear spoiler. It definitely can be done like with the 2023 KIA Sorento Plug In Hybrid. The rear looks very clean.

I wouldn't be surprised if we end up seeing a rear wiper being offered in the next revisions. First model growing pains... let's hope HMG innovates and addresses these issues going forward...

Let’s wait and see…. The rake of the rear window of the GV60 is substantially greater than its siblings. We may be fine as-is.

Agreed. I wouldn’t touch an Ioniq 5 without a rear wiper, but the GV60‘s window rake doesn’t have me concerned. I think the spoiler will aid in keeping the window clean.

I've never seen that photo before. I think I prefer the spoiler here over the design that made it to production.

Let's add:
1. 12V battery failures
2. Connected Services failures

Aside from the 12V battery maintenance item discussed in a separate thread, I think I've found my first quality concern. The panel gap for the plastic wheel well surround between the door and rear quarter panel on my driver's side is a little large. I took a caliper to it, and measured it a couple mm larger than the passenger side - ~5 vs. ~7mm.

I dunno but I got out of the car and the trunk for some reason opened without me pressing anything…that was weird and concerning

If you stand behind the car for a few seconds the trunk will open. Could that have been it?

and if that's the case, and you don't like it, you can deactivate the feature

Maybe, I’ll check my settings thanks

For what it's worth, that feature was disabled by default on my 60. I've not enabled it yet because I haven't sat down to actually play with it.

My biggest issue with the car is the connected services just randomly stopped working about a week after I got it.

Yea, I have read on some facebook forums and on here that a bunch of people are having issues with connected services.

I definitely have an issue with 12V system battery/charging.
This morning I brought my phone out to the battery monitor to get the latest data, and it wouldn’t connect. 12V battery was dead. Once I got a charger connected, it was reading at 6V.
I‘ll be booking a service appointment.
