  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So what do the find people of this forum know about powder coating/painting rims?

Right now, I own two sets of OEM 18" rims with tires: Winter/Summer

I'd like to possibly paint/powder coat the summer set but haven't the slightest idea about it. I've read some threads on various forums, but figured I'd see what you all say.

I own a Satin Pearl Genesis and haven't decided on a color yet as this is just an exploration at this time. Has anyone done this before. There are two companies that do this near me and from what I understand pricing can range between $80/wheel to $150/wheel.

Thanks.

I don't know specifically about wheels, but I would think any powder coating company could do it. We recently had a set of very good, but old and getting rusty, patio furniture coated. We could have purchased a new set for what the powder coating cost, but nothing nearly as nice as our set, which will probably outlive us by a fair amount now that it's been refinished.
