  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Does anybody know the part number or pricing for the pillar trim pieces? They’re fading and cheap looking.

One of mine has been replaced before, before I bought it, and the replacement is a gloss black and it looks so much better.

I’d love for all of them to look uniform. With that being said, the roof posts along side the sunroof are also really fading. Has anybody had any luck replacing those with some glossy black replacements?

I’m about to go through the process of a “chrome delete” on my G80, primarily to cover up the nasty chrome trim issues. Trying to fix a few other gripes of mine at the same time.

I asked the dealership the last time I was in there, but as always, they’re totally useless.

i was thinking about getting 3mm's black gloss vinyl wrap when i get some free time.

I inquired with the company that's going to do the wrap/dechrome of my car if they'd be able to wrap the pillars with black gloss. They looked at it and said the wrap wouldn't stick to the plastic-type material. If you do it and it works for you, I'd be very interested to hear about it.

I got the idea off a thread here. I cant remember the members names or post title. I think I read somewhere that the pillars are metal with a plastic like coating sprayed on top.
Edit: Oxidation on Pano Trim and B pillars and Back pillars
