  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Reported Issues with the Genesis GV60

This is a video I created to fix the F to C change in the GV60.

Is this a fix, or just how to switch it between celsius and Fahrenheit? Cool if it is a fix.

Definitely not a true fix. Just a quick way to switch it back to Fahrenheit without going through the setup screen.

I do not believe it’s an actual “fix” as I have been using this method for the past 3 months and after a while it switch’s back from Fahrenheit to Celsius.

I have my first service tomorrow, I will bring it up then.

A bit of an update... It's been more than 24 hours since I've heard from the dealership, despite leaving both email and voicemail messages requesting that they call me. Tomorrow I'll be contacting my salesperson to see if he can make any progress - looking at the dealership's website I can't figure out who's in charge. They list Experience Managers, a Service Manager, and Ownership Manager, but no sales manager or anyone that appears to be in charge of overall operations.

I stopped at a local bodyshop on the way home to get their thoughts on the issues and felt much better after doing so. The person I spoke to said that it is highly unlikely that there are any serious structural issues. He suspected that what I'm seeing is just the result of shoddy assembly, and could likely be fixed simply by someone taking the time to properly install and adjust the various components that are misaligned. It seems all I need now is for the dealership to return my messages and agree to correct Genesis's shoddy work.
Any more updates on your rear hatch alignment correction? My dealer's service department does not appear to be any sort of rush despite having no better incentive to complete the work.

Late last week, I spoke with the General Manager, who said he’d look into my issues and contact me with next steps to address my concerns.
I’ll give them another couple of days, then follow up again. I’m not in a huge rush now that there seem to be no structural issues.

Are you dealing with the Genesis North Calgary(Country Hills Hyundai) Dealership?

Nothing new. They said there is no software fix for the temp changing to celsius. The tech did a hard reset anyways.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!

Thanks for checking. It would be nice if they could fix some of these minor bugs with an OTA update. To date I don’t think we received any OTA updates in the U.S.

Anyone having sounds on their steering column? Our Ioniq 5 has it slightly, and I can hear it on the GV60. Their is a TSB on the I-5.

Keep the pressure on them. I just heard from my experience manager that my car is finally at their body shop. I can't help feeling that if this was a post sale concern they would be taking much longer. This really should not be as big of a deal as they are making it.

I'm about to head out to that dealer! Did you have to wait extra time for that PPF? What do you think of the quality? Do you live nearby / are we neighbors?

What’s is PPF?

You may need to “Quote“ whom ever you are directing your questions to.

PPF or Paint Protection Film is similar to what is done for window tinting only tougher. Clear, glossy or matte, or almost any colour you want. The entire car can be wrapped or just specified areas, like the hood & front bumper area. Most dealers don’t do it & would have you purchase the car & arranged your own as liability is involved if the car is damaged.

thank you 😊

I thought we might start a thread one various issues that might be a concern on the GV60.
The two initial issues have to do with the Ioniq 5 but since they are both based on the same e-GMP platform we might expect them to plague the GV60 as well.

1. charging: a couple of youtube reviews have noted that the Ioniq does not have pre conditioning of the battery. As a result, cold weather charging never exceeded 50-60 kw. It took 18 minutes to go from 20 to 40% at a two Electrify America stations.
The review also alluded to multiple complaints of the same slow charing in Europe.
This is likely fixable by an OTA update but that would be a sad start if the Genesis has similar slow charging, particularly when their major claim is the speed of charging.

2. another review discussed how bad the visibility out the back window without a wiper was in snowy weather.

I have received mine and it has battery conditioning. I've also charged if at electrify Canada and you hit 18 to 20 minutes for 20 to 80%. The crappy part is it slows down dramatically after 80%. 20% to 99% takes about 42 minutes and costs around $20 dollars for 340~ KM range. That's about $40 dollars a "tank$ ~ 650 kms.

Has anyone had issues around "whistling" sounds around their rear windows at ~70mph highway speeds? It sounds almost as if the window is cracked open a tiny bit, but we've checked and it doesn't appear to be that. It's intermittent.

Brand new GV60, outer tail lamp elements not working on left hand side. Genesis tech visited me at work and fixed within an hour - just a pin not fully seated in a connector.

Been driving the car for about 3 months and recently I notice the infotainment screen has like 2 seconds of blackout during driving, it happens 2 times recently within a week. Does anyone have a similar experience/issue?

I should add that one time it was during navigation in Android Auto and the other time was simply the OEM map screen. Both incidents have a 2 seconds blackout but when it resumes everything was fine.

Maybe a loose wire connection....
