Another big change to the build, just for the winter. Let it be known the Thule "claws" that clamp onto Thule bars, also fit Yakima bars. These are the 50" CoreBars and Baseclip 137 and 163 towers. $291 for all the Yakima hardware. $650 used for the roof box.

The road noise is great, and by great, i mean barely noticeable even at highway speeds. This is only rated for 80 mph, but is incredibly solid, so much so that I think it could make it above 80 (which i'd rather not test). It opens and locks from both sides and feels super high quality. No rattling AT ALL, it attaches to the bars with four "claws" that you crank down until they click. The overhang on the front windshield (in my opinion) looks really cool and doesn't block my view at all.
I'm 99% sure you can still fully open the sunroof with these, because i did when I had actual ski racks on there (with the base towers in the same spot). Either way, really adds to the coolness of the car.
