GV60 Canadian Deposit - Local Dealer Information & Timelines

just ordered on my parts department's recommendation Continental IceContact xtrm winter rubber, they sound pretty new so no real reviews. My usual go to are Blizzaks, good tires but typically aren't as grippy after your second winter. I am hoping the Continentals last a little longer, plus they seem to pander to EVs on their website. That said not sure what makes them EV special.

It's mostly marketing, but I suspect the most significant benefit of EV-focused tires is lower rolling resistance, which may assist with range. The concerns about tires managing increased EV weight are overblown. A GV60 loaded with passengers and gear would likely be several hundred pounds lighter than a Nissan Armada with a full compliment.

The Michelins I have as my winters are not 'EV' tires, yet each is rated for a ~2000lb load, so can handle nearly twice the weight of the GV60.

Last month in early October I went camping with my new GV60. In the dark sky without any light pollution, I was really surprised to see how reflective the reflecting strips on the upholstery actually are. This photo from my phone, without flash, reflecting the light from my "miner-style" headlight. I was also impressed with the big Genesis logo from the puddle lights but didn't take a photo of it.

I was actually impressed how the car did in snow mode. That said the haka 10 Ev's and the studs make it almost feel like I'm driving on pavement, great grip and responsive handling.

There's a bit of noise, some tire but mostly studs that are audible with the radio off and on bare pavement. Turning on the radio or travel on snow fixes that!

The 20 inch genesis rims themself are a nice straight black, the shop lamented they weren't as cool as the ninja star 21s .

• Not more than a week (3 business days for me) for the dealer to prepare the car.

Comment as tu réussi a avoir le Rang ? Mon dealer semble jouer la carte du " je ne sais pas de quoi tu parles" quand je lui demande le rang... et quand j'envois un message sur le site de Genesis... avec la meme question... c'est lui tabar..... qui me repond.

Jai finallement pu commandé la mienne le 5 Mai 2022 apres avoir eu des problemes de duplicata dans leurs site web... (Genesis). Encore ajd.. jai 2 GV60 en commande dans mon profile ????

Ceci etant dit, Je n'ai pas vraiment a me plaindre car jai ete en mesure de me procurer une Mustang Mach E GT extended Performance 2022 en 1 journée le 9 Aout 2022... livré le 11 Aout 2022 chez Jim Key a Orlean (Ontario)... ben.. je dis... "me procurer" c'est plus le Pony a ma femme, que je lui empreinte jusqua ce que Genesis se déniaise... et me livre ma voiture

Une chose est certaine... jai fait +/- 10500kms depuis que nous l'avons eu .... et le montant total d'electricite pour ceux ci donne +/- 325$ comparativement a +/- 3500$ d'essence... Ouais... Hydro Quebec la... ils sont ben fin

Your dealer certainly knows your rank. I got it about 3 weeks after my deposit, when I asked the question by e-mail. Here's what he sent me on April 13th:

Genesis Canada nous a fait parvenir hier les mois de de production associés aux commandes émises.

Dans votre cas le véhicule sera produit uniquement en 2023 et votre rang est le 263ème au total, tout modèles confondus.

So, they have a monthly list they get from Genesis Canada, showing your rang and expected production date. Ask again, and I hope you get your GV60 sooner than later.

Your dealer certainly knows your rank. I got it about 3 weeks after my deposit, when I asked the question by e-mail. Here's what he sent me on April 13th:

The Genesis West Ottawa Website clearly shows the name and e-mail of the General Sales Manager. I would send him an e-mail directly asking for my rank.
