  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Connected Services going away in December 2022

Since the connected services were a selling point I don't believe they have the legal right to discontinue it? I just purchased my lease in November and was solicited to continue with the service for a monthly fee. Now I find out by email yesterday that it's being discontinued. There should be a class action suit against this. They have the technology to upgrade but rather rip us off instead of spending money. Now I regret buying my lease.
I agree as I have a platinum wrap on my car I didn't see anywhere that this would not be covered under the plan. If Hyndai still refuses to pay I will immediately start a legal claim. As a lawyer it makes sense for me. Terrible that this has happened

It's not a failure of anything on the car, so nothing for the warranty to do. The problem is that the service (provided by a 3rd party) shutdown. There is no fix, so I'm not sure what you expect them to "pay." There were disclaimers that connected services could discontinue at any time, but yes, you can always sue. The likely result is that you will still not be made whole, and that the new cars will go up in price a little to pay for this legal expense to Hyundai.

If the basis of your G80 ownership is the "Genesis Connected Services" features I would reassess your priorities.

People willing to go to court over this? Too funny.

Buy an aftermarket remote start, call it a day. Interesting read this thread...
