  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G80 Sport - Lowered on ARK GT-F Springs

I assume anyone lowering their ride doesn't have to deal with snow. Too easy to bottom out in snow of maybe 5-6"?

Hmm, it looks weird, I wonder if they put correct springs at rear and vice versa. As you can see below, I had my 5.0, which is as heavy as G80 Sport, sitting on OEM, then "F" and "S" springs, you can compare how each set should look like.... and the GT-S springs in the box.

@chewbakarox - I don't wanna hijack your thread either. Tell me, and we'll stop spamming your post :clown:

I have the GT-S springs that the previous owner installed. It definitely has a lower drop on the rear (See Image.) Wondering if the owner previous to me installed the rear in the front and vise versa. Spoke with ARK Performance and they are claiming that this stance is "Normal" ??? From what I am seeing on the forums this isn't the case.

Question, how can you tell which is for front and back? Any help or suggestions appreciated!

It definitely does not look ok. Here is the only picture I have of my friend's v6 3.8 with GT-F installed.
I don't think if there is a way to tell which is which, maybe if you take them off?

Ground isn't level but you get the idea. I haven't taken any real pics yet since I'm not satisfied with the overall stance yet.
What's the part number for the ARK GTS Springs you used?

Anyone have any idea if these will work on a 2013 genesis sedan? I wanted a mild drop like the GT-Fs but for some reason, ARK never offered it on our cars and they only have GT-S available

Those S springs look sooo good. I just bought the same spec, '15 Empire State Grey 5.0. I'm a little new and have a couple questions.

1. Do you have any pictures with the factory rims?

2. Other than the springs, what suspension parts do you have?

Those springs weren't that good. Stay away from GT-S's. The front spring sank 1.75 inch! You not going to like it when driving on bumpy streets, getting on/off driveways, etc. . Go with GT-F's.
I only had them for a few months, then replaced them with GT-F's.
1. Only with GT-F's
2. Nothing else.
I don't have that car anymore. Traded in for '18 G80 sport AWD.

What I meant was do you need any other suspension parts, or just the springs?

Also how was the ride affected?

You'll only need springs, no other suspension parts.
The ride was perfect. Close to as you'd ride on factory suspension, but I felt like car was more glued to the pavement. I'm talking about GT-F's springs (.75 inch drop all around)

Hi Derek, do the GT-F springs fit on the 18 Genesis G80 sport? And if so are you interested in selling them?

I sold my '15 5.0 lowered on those springs. The salesman loved how the car looked. I never touched an active suspension of my '18 g80 sport though.

Yeah I'm afraid of lowering the Sport g80 and blowing the shocks or start eating tires.

Make the car quicker/faster. Not lowered ;) that's what I did with my g80 sport.

With tuned ECU/TCU, you don't need anything else but 91/93 octanes.
I have a tuned TCU, without brake boost 0 to 60 in 4.8, since then I had the Jb4 tune map 2 for 93 octane.

I know this is an old thread but does anyone know if the gtf springs for the 5.0 Sedan will fit the g80 sport awd?

I really like the stance here. Probability bc I like the front being a little lower for a little rake. Did the stance change on flat ground?

Any clearer pics?

What wheels are those? They look like velgen wheels but I can't tell. What are the specs as well, thanks.
