  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I added interior door panel kick protectors on the lower 1/8 of the driver and passenger doors. With the Ash interior (which we love), I didn’t want to leave many marks. Have to say I’m impressed with whatever material and/or coating most of the plastic panels have. Even in the hatch compartment, marks wipe off easily with a damp cloth. Seats have been very easy to keep clean and my big surprise that even in winter the steering wheel looks clean and easy to wipe off. I’ll post some pics in a bit of the outcome.
Happy travels!

Installed a Shiftpower throttle response controller. All I can say is WOW !!
It gives a mild to severe effect to the drive modes. ECO is no longer dead stick, probably not the most efficient but not my thing to try for maximum range. Sport with Race is crazy, doing 120km/h (70mph) on the highway without, putting your foot down gives you a bit of a press into the seat, with, it bounces your head off the headrest, like having the boost on all the time with more boost on top. Race is almost unusable for the street, it makes the car really twitchy.
Great support from the company too. The unit wasn’t going to sleep in all modes, I emailed support & the fella messaged back, gave me his mobile number, asked me a couple of questions & then sent me an update to fix the problem. Bought the unit from Beat-Sonic, another great experience. Eric was emailing me even after hours as we confirmed some questions & details.

I got the mudflaps. I thought they were pretty inexpensive at around $200 installed. They are very small, I had to look to see them. Somehow they are reasonably effective. My car is dark, so anything to keep the dirt off it is worth it to me.
Were they from the dealer? Mind sharing a pic? Ours car is dark as well and pretty much ridiculous to keep clean in the winter.

Glad you're enjoying it.

I've seen these sorts of things many times during my years as a gearhead, and never quite understood the point. What they do is just make the throttle map more aggressive. For example, if depressing the accelerator by one inch used to be 30% throttle, the device reads that and tells the computer that you've requested 50% throttle.

Similar to my thoughts on i-Pedal... If I wanted 50% throttle, I'd just depress the throttle two inches - or whatever was required to get 50% throttle. I really don't see the benefit in reducing the distance I need to push the pedal. As you've suggest, it reduces the precision of throttle input - which to me is a meaningful downside. While I'm not tracking the GV60, anyone that has tracked a vehicle - real or virtually - can attest to the importance of precise throttle control.

Sorry for the dirty car and dirty garage - here are the OEM flaps on my GV60.

Well, that put me in my place, I’m sorry I posted anything now.

Lets keep it friendly. As the saying goes: "different strokes for different folks".

Sorry if you took issue with my post. I did not mean to 'put you in your place', or discourage anyone from posting.

If you're happy with what you got for your money, that's all that matters. I intended only to provide my thoughts & experience, and a bit of a counterpoint. I had purchased a similar device in the past and was disappointed with it.

The one thing I don't like about the appearance of the GV60 is the chrome trim around the tops of the windows. I am thinking of having it either painted or covered.

Look back a page or two on this thread, there's a fellow in SoCal that had the chrome wrapped in black. That's on my to do list.

Do you mean this one:

I paid $1400 to do the satin wrap on entire bottom portion and they also did the gloss black around the windows. This was here in Las Vegas, NV USA

Yes, that’s the problem with typing, it’s not easy to include emotion. I am familiar with these types of modules, I do realize you may also may be breaking down their functionality for those who may desire more information. Your input is appreciated.

I, like many, including you if I may, have found ECO pretty much useless. Since no car fits all… After chatting with a fella who has this device on his Ioniq 5 & GV60 & found it filled out the driving modes rather nicely. I found having, perhaps two, usable drive modes, a little lacking compared with the cost of this car. Now I can have the comfort without having to mash the pedal to the floor to make something happen. It also gives me a more familiar feeling, one that I can adjust.

Thanks so much for taking the time to upload some pictures. Looks sharp close up and really barely noticeable from a distance.

Has it helped with keeping the car cleaner?

[no worries about dirt, it’s life; yours looks in comparison so much cleaner than ours. ours is the same grey colour as well and without a garage ours is shamefully filthy and seems to be a dirt magnet particularly through the winter.]

Thanks, it's hard to tell what effect they are having, we are in the middle of a thaw after a big dump of snow, so the side roads are slush filled, and everything is a mess. I would like to think they are a minor help.

This motivated me to clean my garage, and finally put down the car mat that I bought. The car is still dirty, but I'll remedy that today.

Have you got warm water running? If so, can I come over to clean mine? :)

Soon! Now that I got the garage heated, I'm going to be set up to take better winter care of my GV60.
