  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

As the title says, i deleted the little secondary airfilter that was at the opening for the intake as it was very clogged (compressor wasn't able to blow through it) and I am wondering, should i patch up the holes it left or are they fine as is?

Why not replace the filter? The gunk clogging it would go into the engine instead, but perhaps you don't care.
Wonder why the engineers bothered putting it in.

I guess the main airfilter is just there for looks? Or maybe it just looks at dirt coming towards it and steps off to the side? I fail to see how this tiny carbon filter that was beyond clogged is going to do more then the paper filter inside the airbox is doing since that tiny carbon filter had done jack shit judging by all the dirt i vacuumed out of the airbox today but hey, if you wanna be passive agressive instead of helping be my guest I don't care

I'm helping by letting you know there is a reason for it. The engineers would not put it there and add cost for no reason but, your engine, your choice. Probably better with the holes blocked than not open with no filter.
