No air comes from vents when ac is not on. And when ac is switched on, the compressor comes on but no air flow comes from vents. Adjusting the fan control does nothingIf you don't run the AC does air blow out the vents?
If not, the damper is not opening. If yes, more qyestions.
if the AC is on, does it start to blow and then stop? If yes, could be frozen evap coil, often from low regrigerant.

I think it might be that or a short in it. Because I tapped on the bottom of the blower housing and it started blowing again. So should I replace the motor or look for the shortMy guess would be a bad blower motor under the glove box?

I would just replace the blower motor(common failure part) first and if the problem continues then you try to troubleshoot the wire harness and possibly the AC control module.I think it might be that or a short in it.
