  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

If you don't run the AC does air blow out the vents?

If not, the damper is not opening. If yes, more qyestions.
if the AC is on, does it start to blow and then stop? If yes, could be frozen evap coil, often from low regrigerant.

More information will get you better answers.

No air comes from vents when ac is not on. And when ac is switched on, the compressor comes on but no air flow comes from vents. Adjusting the fan control does nothing

My guess would be a bad blower motor under the glove box?

I think it might be that or a short in it. Because I tapped on the bottom of the blower housing and it started blowing again. So should I replace the motor or look for the short

Short would blow a fuse. It would not start working again. I'd replace it.

I would just replace the blower motor(common failure part) first and if the problem continues then you try to troubleshoot the wire harness and possibly the AC control module.

However, the proper method would be to first check the blower motor electrical wiring with a meter while the AC is running and check for any DTC with an scan tool.

I've got an issue where air is coming from the outside vents, but not the 2 in the middle. Air is cold but only 2 of 4 working. There was a noise coming from that area at startup for a few weeks now no air. Is there a damper in there? Did it die? 2012 5.0 non-rspec.
