With the laws varying in different states, I'm sure I'll get a variety of replies.
In Texas one can get a concealed carry license (CCL) and tote a sidearm around almost anywhere (with a few exceptions).
Without a CCL, it is still lawful to carry in the car only (and to from said car to one's home - for transport)
Having said that, there could be a good place in the car, or one just decides to keep it on one's person.
Instead of finding a good spot in the cabin, I keep mine on my person - how about you?
