I know what you mean. I miss the old days where you had big, powerful, luxurious cars... Lexus used to do a decent job at this, though their cars usually lacked power for the segment... Now that brands like
Cadillac and Lexus have decided to chase after BMW (which has, itself, decided to chase after traditional luxury - to an extent), it left a big hole in the market to be filled by our beloved Genesis brand...
The one thing Genesis has working against it is the necessity of BIG WHEELS. Unfortunately, smaller wheels are an afterthought as far as designs go. So if you want their nice wheels, you need to select their 45" design - which, of course, make for a firmer ride than say, 16 or 18 inch. If you want that nice, quiet, plush ride, switching to
aftermarket wheels with a smaller circumference will make the biggest difference.
I completely understand why you may prefer to keep the current wheels. We used to say "the wheels make the car"... In that case, as you know, tires are the next best area for improvement. I'm not up to date on what's best at this point, but perhaps you can let us know about any noticeable improvement after you replace yours.
