High folks,
I've just put down a deposit for a used 2013 Genny Sedan with ...25k miles on it ... Yes, incredible. Everything checks out well, except for the steering, which is extremely hard, compared to my 2012 Genny Sedan - the exact same car, same trim (premium), just one year older. The old Genny was a total loss as a result of an accident.
I've got a couple of questions that hopefully the Genny aficionados her can help with:
1) Has there been any significant change been made to the 2013 steering wheel ease of turning? Is it much different than that for the previous year?? Highly unlikely, but just making sure.
2) I thought that the 2012 had a fully electric steering mechanism, as opposed to for e.g. My Dodge Charger, where the steering would get really tough in winter, due to the cold weather around here.
If steering fluid is involved in the 2013 model, maybe the issue is an old, gunky fluid, in case that it has not been flushed and replaced.
3) How worried should I be about this? Is there any potential big issue here that would make my buy a horrible one? Other than this, the car is as good as new...
Thanks
