I have a 2021 GV80 Uyuni white I purchased in 09/2021.
In December 2022 rust was discovered inside the driver’s side rear door (on the dogleg) and the fuel fill door paint began to discolor, turned a shade of gay. Genesis agreed to repair the paint issues in January 2023. Long story short, the rust returned after painting it twice and the exterior white paint did not match, after two attempts.
Genesis agreed to repurchase the GV80 through what is labeled "Goodwill repurchase” The repurchase offer is fair and I accepted their official offer.
Here is my concern going forward. My local dealer is 50 miles away and they will no longer be a Genesis dealer effective 10/01/2023. I would like to purchase a 2024 GV80 but now the closest dealer is 140 miles away. Valet service reaches 60 miles, so this is no longer an option for me. Since owning the GV80 for 23 months, and I must say it is the nicest vehicle I have ever owned, and now I must find a replacement vehicle. I have looked at 10 different brands and have yet to find anything that matches up to the GV80.
Do I go out on a limb with the inconvenience of traveling almost 300 miles each time the vehicle needs service?
