Totally! My car is used, 2 owners, minor previous damage properly reported and repaired. She's a base model, so rather light and a good framework to do a build, for sure.
Parts of the front bumper is not correctly fastened, and the
wheel wells don't have the liners. The cat is 100-something-teen thousand miles. The engine is purring like a kitten, and roaring like a lion when I throttle-up. Transmission is spinning always asking for more energy.
She really wants to show-off and throw-off preconceived notions that this thing is a not so serious plaything for Koreans. I guess I'd ask Hellcats and stingrays to be cautious of their surroundings.
I'm going to take an engineer's approach with this build. I'm seeing areas where I desire one-off custom and functional elements placed on the car.
Right now I'm establishing my baseline. I'm learning her as-is, then I'll try and get her back to OEM specs. From there, I'll do a full rework at a body repair shop. From there, I can start designing as if the car is a 1st Gen B3 With a V8 and an Nsport kit.
I hopefully can learn how to get the HMC and HMA engineering, maintenance, parts, and repair manuals. I need to study the Genesis Coupe and get an intimate knowledge of the details behimd the car.
I'll need more information and performance information center systems to be built into the car. For this car to be an international tourer, there is other systems to be placed on it to allow it to be roadworthy in other countries.
I'd hope for this car to run F1 and Le Mans tracks along with super cruising 2,000 miles per day, minimum. So with a driver's information center, perhaps the passenger can be a systems manager.
FLIR, Radar, and laser rangers are invisioned to be added for more road safety. I envision actuated components, too. 2 independent
wings, waste gates, air coolers, actuated aerodynamics elements, extra fluid coolers, APU, generator, light entertainment, high capacity fuel tanks . . . . . Things that will allow a hopeful 8 hour-long super-cruise.
I guess like a roadworthy, road legal Le Mans-type?
