GV80 inside door handle catch plate sets now available for the GV80

Alright, I have figured this out..
Step-1: You need a very small flathead screwdriver or tiny knife (which is what I used). Pull the inside door handle back and insert the flat tip into the space between the handle and the black plastic piece (it is shaped like the new inserts you just received), apply a little leverage pressure to the plastic and pop it out!

Step-2: Place the felt on the back of the new plate before inserting.

Step-3: Insert the new plate, pointy part first then the back and apply easy pressure until it snaps in place.

Step-4: Repeat on other doors and you are finished!

They would cost 4x as much and wouldn't look any different once they're in there. I'd assume they would also be far more difficult to uninstall later

Hi there. That part of the GV80 hasn't changed yet in this generation. It'll fit the same way it does in the 2023.

Aren't the plates in any case blocking the door jam from closing entirely?

Not at all. If you check your door jam, there is an indent that these fit into. Also, the doors do not strick this area at all.

Would you mind sending me a screenshot of that shipping price you're getting? That's definitely wrong. It's supposed to be giving a USPS or UPS "live rate" - which means the rate directly from those carriers. $20 as the least expensive option to anywhere in the USA is inaccurate.
