I dont have anxiety per se. I plug in at home once every 7-10 days and charge to 80%. On longer road trips, going through mountain passes, the car eats the battery up the hills, but regens a ton on the way down. Usually gain battery power and get 30+kms. The battery range display is pretty accurate over a long drive. You may chew through a ton of battery on hills, but the regen usually helps average out the usage. Having said that, I plan short washroom and food/drink breaks and top up at some DC fast chargers 50kw-150kw and can get 15-30% battery increase in 15 minutes. My long haul trips are usually only 320km, but up 2 mountain passes. So I prefer to not have any anxiety and just plan for a 15-20 minute stop and co-ordinate that with a break. Otherwise, if you are looking at 500-700km long road trips on a regular basis without any inconvenience, then get a hybrid. I just dont see range anxiety being a thing for most of everyday use. Longer road trips need a bit of planning and a bit more time. But for all the time I save no having to go and get gas for daily commuting, I would say the stops are a wash in time. I dont see why someone with an ICE car that has a range of 500km doesnt have anxiety. You still need to stop and fill up. The numbers of Fast Chargers along major highway routes is increasing and convenient. I don't see what the fuss is all about. My only gripe is that the mapping software on the gv70e doesnt estimate battery power that would be used when plugging in a destination. Considering all the data and topographical information available, the car should be able to estimate it.
On an another note, the GV70e connected services Gives some interesting data when you login through the website. According to my stats, of my monthly wH of power used, 42-54% of it is regenerated power and the rest is from the grid. Pretty neat to see that capability. Probably why I average 19.4kw/100km in the summer. Winter driving on studded winters has lost about 12-15% efficiency. Most times at 100% battery, the range shows 430-475km. I've been pretty happy with the range so far.
