  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So I drive a 2010 3.8 Genesis coupe,

one day, after having my clutch slave replaced, my window stopped going up like it should when the car’s door is closed.

This only happens when the car is off, meaning when I turn the car off the window drops after 20-40 seconds.

When the window drops it usually sets my car alarm off as I lock my car and head inside.

One day my window spazzed out going down up down up down up that 1/2 inch, the whole 30 minute drive home, unlocking the doors at every stop on its own.

When I called the dealer they told me car sounds possessed, and so I set up an appointment just for my car to fix itself only the day of my appointment. They charged me $217 just for a full diagnostics test, just for my car to return back to it’s annoying state of window issues.

If you have any ideas or know my issue please help!!!

(What I have tried and had no luck)

- replaced door jamb switch

- cleared corrosion off and cleaned of
ground wires

- I even took it to the dealer (
ironically the
car fixed itself for the day it went in) just
for them to tell me my car seems perfectly
fine

after a full diagnosis check ($217)

Did you try re-initializing the window? (Maybe they disconnected your battery while doing the clutch work?)
Hold the window down button to roll the window down and keep holding it for a few seconds after the window is all the way down. Now do the same for window up.
