Any idea if we can downgrade the software installed? Meaning, can we install a previous version to replace the current version which introduced the bug?
I tested the theory that it happens when both bluetooth and
carplay are in use. This is incorrect. Even when I disabled bluetooth connection to the infotainment system, the echo was still there. And it's exactly at volume 20. If I set volume to 19, 18, 17, or below, there is no echo. I set it to 21, 22, 23, or higher and there is an echo.
Genesis should roll out OTA updates more often than twice a year in Spring and Fall. That's ridiculous, especially if their development team is introducing bugs with the software. They should be doing patches like every other company these days. They obviously know there is an issue and it's affecting everyone using
carplay through their infotainment system. Build the patch, push it over OTA and have happier customers.
