  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Flickering headlights from turn signal

Refer to the TSB which covers your year.
I did see that. hyundai canada told me that it only applies to hyundai usa which to me sounds BS. I am trying to find more people with such problems so that we can get a recall issued with the help of transport canada

I am constantly surprised at people with cars more than 10 years old complaining that the manufacturer won’t fix something for free. Warranties don’t and shouldn’t last forever. If the warranty was longer the cars would be a lot more expensive as greater warranty costs would have to be factored into the price.
buddy I am pretty sure everyone who owns a car understands how warranty works. natural wear and tear overtime is completely normal but a safety defect that can potentially cause harm to you is definitely something that the manufactures should address and fix.

I am having this same issue on my 2015 Genesis, in Nova Scotia. The dealership also told me the TSB only applies to USA and they are quoting me $1206 taxes in for parts on labor!!! “to replace the multifunction switch (P/N 93400-B10014X), without completing any diagnosis”.

That is to say; it’s another $177 with tax to do a diagnosis first and confirm if this is indeed the part they need. It appears they cannot replace the turn signal stalk itself - only this entire assembly?!

The entire assembly is the turn signal + the wiper switch. 93400 in the drawing below.

It is $332 new. The steering wheel has to come off to install it, but it is not a difficult job. It should be billed as one hour, but will take less than that to do.

Thank you for this. Insane that they are trying to charge me over $1200. Not sure how to go about this. I have a Canada General Warranty which SHOULD cover the repair... but it's always a battle to make the dealership get this done under warranty, I find. The warranty says "Horn and multifunction stalk switch" are covered. Sounds right, yeah?

So glad I came across this thread. I have the same anomaly with my light mode cycling after making a turn. The other day I manually cycled it and it would not go to auto. It would skip past it. I was ready to order a used switch off ebay and do it myself. Now I have to check with the dealer if they need proof or if they can go off my word alone.

Yes, that is exactly what this is.
