  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Reported Issues with the Genesis GV60

When I read the cited story, I don't see an ICCU recall; I see a software recall which would suggest, to me, that it is merely the same software fix that owners here have been complaining about.
Transport Canada and Genesis Canada have now issued an official recall. Canadian owners can visit … Genesis Canada Recall Lookup
with their VIN to confirm if it applies to their car.

I’ve attached a screenshot of the recall which matches the incidents reported in the article and video…

Yes. I got two recall notices here in California. I would be very surprised if any of the service centers near me are prepared for this.
I called the one I took my car to 2 weeks ago for scheduled maintenance, left a message for the service manager, and have not heard back in two days. I'll try again tomorrow.

Good to know that the recall originally reported in Korea is being anounced for owners both in Canada, the US, and presumably elsewhere, consistently. Hopefully, they can respond quickly. I had to wait quite a while for the driveshaft recall and the technical bulletin for the initial ICCU check-up and update. I’ve not received an official letter for this one yet. The report seemed to suggest this latest recall (due to potential power loss) had not affected many vehicles, but it’s still worrisome. I hope our dealers begin to resolve this quickly - fingers crossed.

Good to know that service acts as a "Luxury" car brand should.

I am on the recall list and I am scheduled for my 15K maintenance next week. I emailed my SA and asked him if they would take care of the recall at the time. He wrote back that they would clear ALL open recalls during the visit. I will know next week.

The notice posted above states that there is no fix currently available... I wouldn't hold my breath.

I am scheduled to have the recall addressed tomorrow. It is an inspection and software update. My dealer said they have already done a few. I assume on stock vehicles.

Could they be confusing this with the last ICCU recall?

That's what I was thinking and wanting clarification on. That said, this seems to call for the ICCU module (or whatever) to be replaced, which my ICCU software update did not do (obviously).

No, I already had that done. They said they are inspecting the ICCU and replacing if needed. Also a different software update is being performed. I guess I will see what the paperwork says when I pick the car up.

Not sure if this helps…

My car has started to switch to snow mode when I long press drive mode button instead of my custom setting. Anyone else have this issue lately? Started a few weeks ago when I got it back from dealership. I had to go into settings and set it back to custom mode but it reverts back at random.
Same here, did you by chance find out what's causing this? It's pretty annoying that I have to go back into setup and change it back.

Sorry for the dumb question here...
What is the Custom Mode on the Drive Mode button? Is this a Performance model feature?

You get to choose between Snow or My Drive, creating a fourth drive mode option. My drive is customizable (steering, suspension, etc), Snow is not.

In custom mode you can set all settings like brakes or dif each to whatever setting you want and it will be stored instead of snow mode. Deebo315 and I keep finding the car switching it so that when we try to go to custom instead the car goes to snow instead and we have to go into settings to toggle it back to custom. Quite annoying.

I had a surprise call from my Service Department today. They advised that I had an open recall, and asked if they could schedule a valet to come pick up my car and have it serviced. I said sure, and they will actually pick it up tomorrow. This is actual good service, and am pretty happy about it. Seems like a good sign.

My dealership does the same. She always calls and asks if I would like a loaner dropped off and my car picked up. I always just drive to the dealership myself though. They are definitely trying.

My Genesis dealer just got done with the construction of a remodeled building and moved in. It took over two years. They were in the Genesis dealership, and it was super crowded. The new building is actually pretty nice, almost luxurious even.
