  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Anybody know if the controls on the wheel are illuminated or not? Saw the car yesterday and was very impressed - wouldn't hesitate to put one in my driveway when the time comes!

Hello pmonag and welcome to the forums.

Yes the controls on the steering wheel are illuminated with the same blue lighting . I like the look at night. So are the gear shifter positions, seat heaters and driver information system controller (tech package)

Hope this helps

Welcome aboard, pmonag! Thank you for signing up!

however the HomeLink and power controls on the rearview mirror are not illuminated. =|

The mirror is on and that is the only backlit mirror button in my Genesis. Do other people have backlit homelink buttons on their rearview mirrors?

My mirror is also on but the HomeLink buttons do no illuminate.

Personally I think it is better for the mirror to not be illuminated otherwise it would be a distraction, and when not looking directly to it it might appear as a car coming from behind or something. Also the mirror is not made by Hyundai and is the same one found in many cars.

As others have said, the homelink buttons do not light up, mirror on or not. At first they can be hard to find, but in spite of not having much of a contrasting feel, you get used to reaching up to just the right spot and finding that button.
