  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just got a 2023 G70 Sport Prestige 3.3T RWD. Can anyone tell me why auto start stops before 10 minutes?

Do you mean the auto start/stop, or are you really asking about the remote start?

Welcome. This topic has been moved out of the community lounge and into the Genesis G70 Technology Forum...

If you're talking start/stop, it could be a myriad of reasons. If it's too hot, and A/C is on, it could be due to that. Or if the battery doesn't have enough juice, which is a very common reason. Plus many others. That feature is crap, so very happy my '23 2.0T doesn't have it.

3.3t doesn't have Auto Stop/start. That was only present in the 2.0t. I guess Genny just said 3.3t will get crappy gas mileage no matter so no need to try and make it better....

Remote start duration is controllable in the app and infotainment, I think.

Yes, with a max time of ten minutes for safety reasons.

Maybe in the US. The manual shows like 30 minutes....
I have seen where the max remote start duration was ten minutes, but the max continue to run after you leave the car (not started remotely) was thirty minutes. Are you sure you are not talking about that timeout instead of the remote start timeout?

Incorrect.... Any 3.3T Sport Prestige has it in threre package. I use it all the time. There are anti car jackng features in the setup.

Incorrect. Early years of the 3.3T do not have auto start/stop.
Then you should be specific on years. What you said is misleading and false.

Maybe you should have stated years? "Any 3.3T Sport Prestige has it" tends to imply all years, and you're telling someone that knows they have one without it that they are wrong.

What at all was in any way misleading or false about my post?
"Early years of the 3.3T do not have auto start/stop."

Your original post... not updated clarification.

Which original post? My other two posts in this thread are #2 and #8, and I stand by those, and post #10 does not clarify either of those.

Are you confusing me with someone else?

Mr Megadeath post from today. Never said "you" did anything.

I'd say that you did in post 11, but clearly you're not going to own up to it.
This is going nowhere. Let's just stop here.

I have never seen it in any 3.3t G70. It isn't in my 2023 G70. Didn't see it any of the 2019-2022 either.

Don't think I have seen it in any of the video's for the 2024 or 2025....

Are we talking about the same thing? We were discussing the Remote start (10 minute time out). Then someone brought up auto stop/start, i.e., the thing that tuns the engine off Automatically when you stop and then Automatically when you go - this isn't on the 3.3t.

Are you reading the posts or just trying to inflate you post count?

You were right. It's the "Auto-shut off" is parked timer.

Regarding the stop/start function in the G70, as mentioned in other posts this feature was (fortunately in my opinion) not part of the earlier years in the 3.3T versions. I own a 2022 3.3T trim and it does not have the stop/start function. Not sure if it began being included in 2023 or 2024.
