In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. GypsyDRB where did you get that deal? What state, what dealer?

Thanks

Charlotte, NC

Keith Hawthorne Hyundai Dealership on South Blvd.

I used a car buying service ($395) which also got me $800 more than I would've gotten for my trade at CarMax or the dealer I bought the Genny from.

I am not ashamed to admit it :D. I got this deal in less than 2 weeks. I did not have to do a thing. Yesterday, I spent about 30 minutes at the dealer signing paper work. In...and out.

hmmm.... unique business concept. Interesting... was it all done over the phone?

Mostly via e-mail and over the phone. We met initially to discuss what I wanted, for her to evaluate my trade, sign a contract. We handled all of that in about 30 minutes at a local Starbucks.

The next time I saw her, she was picking me up to head to the dealer.

This is not a done deal yet, but here's the offer I'm considering: Private sale, 2009 3.8 premium (Canadian version) with remote start and an extra set of 17" black winter rims with brand new Yokohama IG20's. ~17,000 KM. $29800. (tax excluded).

Date: 11-20-10
Model: Genesis 4.6 Tech
Color: Black on Black
State: MD
Dealer: Ourisman Hyundai of Bowie
Paid: $37,740 (not including TT)
Dealer also thru in front/back logo and wheel cap replacements.

Let me preface by saying that most specs show that we're paying a little higher here in the Southwest....not sure why....Honestly, if I paid more than most, I don't care. I love my Genesis. Test drove the BMW, and the Lexus ES...and couldn't wait to get back to the dealership to sign the paperwork on the Genny.

Bought: 10/28/10
2011 Cabernet 3.8 Tech package
Southwest Hyundai in Albuquerque
Sticker: 43,989 (steep...although they had a 4.6 at 47,000)
Drove off at 40,011 including TT&L, along with rebadging (rims and airbag replaced), tint, ipod cable, oil change for a year, 6 months of gas.

Looking at some of these prices, I was thinking I got ripped off...until I walked out in the garage, and looked at my Genesis...and just smiled.

I also bought my wife a 2010 Veracruz the same day, but that's a story for another day

Just bought my 2011 4.6 last night. White with the tan seats. Took some work, but got a pretty good deal. Paid $37,000 before TTL @ 2.49%. No money down. Rear Badge, wheel-caps, and steering wheel emblem.

North Freeway Hyundai Houston Texas.

Model: 2011 Genesis 4.6
Color: Black with Saddle
State: GA
Dealer: Terry Reid
Paid: $37,500 - Had to fight off haggling and I stayed with this price
2.9% (could have gone with no money down, but that nut was too much for me to like on a monthly basis)

All I got was the IPod Cable. :( Felt like I did well with this

I am brand new here. Just took delivery of a 2010 Genesis a couple days ago. hehe can't stop grinning :D

Date: 12/23/2010
Model: 2010 Genesis 4.6 Tech
Color: Platinum Silver with Black interior
State: IL
Dealer: Patrick Hyundai
Paid: $36,500 @ 1.9% for 60 month. This particular car was a dealer demo with 5800 miles on it but registered as new.

Decent deal? I am pretty happy every time I look in my garage.

Model: 2010 Genesis 4.6 Tech
Color: Black Exterior/Cashmere
State: CA
Dealer: Stevens Creek
Paid: $36,861 (this included a $1500 competitive rebate and $1000 auto show rebate)
Included the trunk liner and iPod cable thrown in.
Had the service department put on my winged badge (got it on ebay) while I signed papers.

I leased this at what I think is a ridiculously low money factor of 0.00075, or roughly 1.8% APR. Great deal, great dealer experience. Oh, and great car.

Thas sounds like a great deal...enjoy your Genesis.

What was the deal with the auto show rebate? I did a Genesis drive at the San Diego auto show on 12/30. When I asked about a coupon the girl doing the "exit" survey told me "We had a meeting and decided that the Genesis is so good we really don't need to do that this year." I haven't been contacted.

The drive itself was a colossal waste of time. One mile in straight line. A U turn and one mile return. I think the guy from the marketing firm that accompanied me was asleep.

So I worked an awesome deal from what I am reading here. One plus was my son needed a car two so I promised a two for one deal.
Also previous owner

Used this information to get the same type deal at South Dallas Hyundai. Paid 37,350 for the 2011 4.6 and got the same freebies plus rebadging of the trunk.

1-27-11
Williamsburg Hyundai, Williamsburg, VA
Sales Rep: Mariester

Car: 2011 3.6L Sterling Blue Genesis with Premium Package

Accessories: Wheel locks, cargo mat, ipod cable, rebadging (although they only had trunk and hood emblems they credited me $42 for the wheel caps and steering wheel stick-on emblem to be bought from kdmstuff.com). True steering emblem with airbag replacement would have been $232 more plus maybe installation. They were also willing to credit $50 per tire if I brought my own tires to be installed, but I decided to keep the stock tires.

Service: Free oil changes for 1 year, free state inspection for life.

Price: $31458 after $1500 competitor rebate. $32970 or so out the door after taxes & fees. 2.9% for 60 months. Monthly payment $555 after 2k down.

Had a great experience all around with this dealer. They had the second best price out of the 15-20 or so dealers I had contacted. The only dealer offering a lower price seemed sketchy to me because they told me they had the car I wanted and were pressuring me to drive up 1.5 hours and they would beat the price from Williamsburg by $750-1000. I knew *nobody* had the color/package I wanted yet so I forced them to admit they didnt have the car. After that I was turned off by them and went with Williamsburg instead once a car fitting my restrictions was finally found.
