Based on multiple postings here and elsewhere, it's clear that many Genesis owners are unhappy with the way that their cars integrate with the iPod and iPhone. I already know about some specific deficiencies (e.g., limited ability to randomize playback), but I haven't found a description of what I can expect for my iPhone 3GS.
My iPhone currently works quite well with a standalone Bluetooth device in my car. I dial calls by voice using the iPhone's software and use the device's mike and speaker. Will I get equivalent functionality in the Genesis?
For music, I plug an old iPod into an FM transmitter, which plays through the car's stereo. Downsides are poor audio quality and having to control all playback using the iPod's buttons. Is Hyundai's iPod cable the best way to get music from the device into the car's audio system?
