  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
    If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

When I first bought my car (about a month ago) there was an automatic shade that was engaged and went down when I reversed and back up when I put the car in drive. Somehow this has become disengaged and does not work. I have looked in all the manuals but cannot see how to "engage" this again. Can anyone help?

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Read section 4 page 109 of your manual. Then read through all of the rest of your manual a couple of times, this will help you a lot in the future.

You need to press the button for the rear sunshade on the driverside door. It will go up....and will only go down when in reverse, until you press the button again, which will lower it back down.

Did you try this already?

Ditto: At least if his Genesis Owners Manual is the same year as yours.

I don't mean to be an SOB about this, but as I have always said;

"When all else fails, read the instructions (owners manual)".

:eek: :D :o

Thanks for the help, I have found the right button the door now. I also just realized that the only owners manual I received was the one for the computer system so its back to the dealership for me to get the other more comprehensive manual. Thanks again.

If the dealer doesn't give you a manual, call the Hyundai 800 number and ask them for one, that's what I did and they sent one out immediately.

I downloaded a pdf manual from the myhyundai.com site. Makes it easier to look up stuff.
