  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello. New here.

Back on track,..................

Am I just missing it or do you really not have a G70 photo album? :p

Gave her the first hand wash of the season. Looks great. Not perfect, but much, much better.
I can't wait for the warmer weather to really go over everything. LOVE THIS CAR!!!

A good wash can make a car feel brand new again... Especially that first wash after a long hiatus! Glad to see you're still loving your Genesis G70...

ABSOLUTELY SAL!!!! Especially after the winter months, even though we are still "technically" in winter.:(

I didn't do an amazing job on it, but I spent an hour, making sure I got the full body of the car, the wheels and a bit of the calipers. Oh,....and getting the Ceramic Pro CARE on it as well, which was very needed. It was about 4 to 5 months since the last application. (I use it as a drying aid, along with being a ceramic coating maintenance spray.)
Waiting for the warmer weather. BRING. IT. ON.

That ceramic coating really does work, huh? The only type I've ever had used was when it was quickly applied at a car wash... I'm assuming what I get doesn't work as well...

Yes,....you are correct on both accounts.
Having the car done professionally makes a world of difference. Your paint can be 7 years old and it will look half it's age, if not newer with a proper ceramic coating job.

Makes sense. And I think the car wash stuff wears off pretty quickly. Maybe a few weeks.

Beautiful weather out here today, so after cleaning the yard and other little things, I gave her a nice wash. Looks so good.

I will be honest though, I am bummed about the dark chrome trim around the windows. Mine are starting to oxidize. I'm not liking that at all. (She stays out outside all of the time. I only have a one car garage, unfortunately.)
Other than that, the car has been solid and a blast to drive.

I remember one of the product manufacturers asking me if I wanted to stock something that covers that trim... I wonder if it's something I should look into - being so many are unhappy about the oxidization they are prone to...

Quite possibly, but I don't think there are many G70 cars out there. Plus, the car would have to be new/relatively new and unscathed by the elements already.

So,....we got a dusting of snow overnight. The roads were wet and some small puddles on the roads driving into work this morning.
I washed the car on my day off on Wednesday,.......I took these right after I got home today.

Still looking like new to me! Nice working taking such good care of your Genesis...

I gave the G70 a nice rinseless wash on Sunday. Still looks amazing as it hasn't rained yet.

I still to this day, almost two years later, say to myself while walking towards my car,...wow, what a gorgeous looking car.

That's when you know you made a great decision on your purchase. Genesis would be making a huge mistake discontinuing this car - and I have a strong feeling there will be more generations. I think, at most, there may be a year without it being in the lineup. But in my opinion, that would be a worst case scenario. Glad to see you're still loving your G70.

I agree Sal.
It's a great car. It's quick, it's luxurious and it looks amazing.

A couple of changes I would make,.......400HP and a bit more TQ would be outstanding.
Digital gauges.
Dark chrome trim that doesn't oxidize. LOL

Just gave the G70 a nice bath since we FINALLY got some good/warm weather out here. Still loving this car a lot.
Looks so good. The ceramic coating makes all the difference in the world, in my opinion.

I was able to take the beast out for a quick rip early this morning as well.

Yes, a little more power wouldn't hurt for anyone who would enjoy it. I hear one of the manufacturers is making a dark chrome kit that covers the standard pieces...

GT350?

GT350?
That would be killer.
The dark chrome pieces on the car fade out/oxidize too quickly. My car is outside all day.

Not a GT350, but a 2019 Roush Stage 3 Mustang.
710HP and 610TQ.
