  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Where in the car's infotainment do I go to start/access this update?

The infotainment screen should prompt you right away to update once the USB drive is inserted. If it doesn’t, there might be an incompatibility with the drive or a bad download.

Thank you - found it, and it shows that an OTA update is available, but the "Update" button is grayed out.

Poked around, couldn't figure out why....

Is a USB drive a requirement for performing even the OTA update?

Not at all. Is your USB on the correct slot, below the HVAC controls on the left hand slot. Second, did you use the Genesis Updater to actually write to the USB drive?

I think my ignorance of how this all works is causing my issues. We have never had any USB drive inserted in either of the USB slots below the dash - only USB cables to use wired CarPlay (left) and to charge a phone (right). Were we supposed to get a drive or card with the car, or is that something we'd have needed to buy?

Maybe it is worth waiting for the OTA? No, as far as I'm aware, you do not get a thumb drive with the car. You would have needed to buy. I believe they require at least a 64gig thumb drive, must be USB-C of course. The Genesis Updater will format the thumb drive as ExFat and put the Update files on it, such that you pretty much just have to turn the car on and plug the USB thumb drive in.

As far as I can tell they did not include the ability to modify arrival charge percentages in this update. Hopefully that comes in the fall.

Would appear to be available in the UK as well; just downloading now and will come back to it later today. Just downloaded but it only seems to apply in US

I just got the OTA update today in Maryland.

Has anyone in Canada had luck applying this update? I've done several downloads on 3 different USB drives with no luck. The GV60 reads the USB drive but doesn't seem to recognize that it needs to kick off an update. I've done all of the previous updates myself with now issue and I'm currently applying the update to my GV70 using one of the drives that didn't work in the GV60 - it worked flawlessly the first time.

At this point I'm wondering if dealer intervention is needed or if the update configuration file for the Canadian download is incorrect. Specifically the 2023_GV60_CAN.ver file. My contents are:

Can someone in the US (or that has been successful in Canada) compare the files? Specifically the first line seems to be formatted different. It seems to stand out given the structure of the other lines.

The GV60 seems to be very picky about USB drives, despite having been successful in the past.
I’ve had the same experience. I have one particular USB-C drive that works perfectly in various devices, but the GV60 won’t recognize it at all. And yes, I’ve tried various formatting options.

I have had the same experience. It’s not picky about the drive capacity either as I’ve successfully used various capacities ranging from 64Gb to 1Tb. I’m not sure why it doesn’t like certain drives.

it worked fine for me on the first attempt.

Version was 250305 - as you referenced.

I downloaded the file yesterday, but when I went out to the car to install, the OTA update was already at the 80% point, so I just let it finish.

similar story here:
Two different updates at (nearly) the same time?...I was fiddling around, checking things out for the nav update...went out to the car ('25 GV60 Advanced) to run through the menu for the coming update and current versions..and found an automatically-running OTA update.
The update was only code-named (infotainment?...nav?...system? who knows?) as it was running, and this has apparently lead some to believe it was the nav update. I couldn't determine which it was at the time, and had to wait for it to finish to find out...it was 'voice recognition, redial, call-back'...big news for those of us who bought +$60K phone-booths.
Ok, back to the usb download...or eventual OTA(?).
Hyundai would do well to label the updates with appropriate names, not just inscrutable code names (blah, blah, 001.013.250305). It would also be a good idea to officially inform us that updates are coming, especially if they plan to continue issuing updates two at a time...just sayin'. If there is going to be an OTA of the nav system, or there isn't, Hyundai knows this right now. There is no good reason to withhold the OTA nav update plan.
I think the ICCU debacle may have all of Hyundai nervous about committing to anything, including delivery dates, or contents/intentions, of updates.

Mine automatically updated last evening when I shut the car off.
