In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Just bought a 2010 4.6 and need good all weather car mats to keep the slop off the carpets--any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

I have the Hyundai All weather mats and they work great.

Weather Tech pricey but the best.
Sufficient research will bear that out.

The hyundai genesis all weather mats are great! They don't look too shabby either.

I have used Weather Tech in four vehicles. They are a little pricey but do a great job of protecting carpets.

The real issue with Weather Tech is that you have to trim them to get a proper fit. For the money I would expect a mat to properly fit. Same issue with the trunk liner they sell which is too small.

Buy some aftermarket at an auto-parts store.

I had purchased a set of Weathertech mats for my Genesis, before Hyundai had theirs available. The Quality is great, but they are not a custom fit as I had expected and in fact they left significant gaps around the outside exposing the carpet to the moisture and grime. They also didn't use the factory locating posts to secure them, so they slid about. I was very disappointed since they cost a lot more than regular aftermarket mats.
By comparison, the Hyundai mats fill the footwell, use the factory mounting, are reasonably priced and are very close in quality.

I bought the Hyundai rubber mats and the trunk liner. They fit better than the "not so custom fit" weathertech and seem to be of similar quality. I've always used weathertech with past cars, so I am familiar with weathertech.
I've always used trunk mats also, and my car trunks look like new years later:)

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I second the Hexomats and have them for my 2010 black 4.6. They are custom cut for the Genesis and fit very well, and do a great job of keeping dirt contained.

I have the factory all weather mats. They fit really good but hold very little water from melting snow.

Guys, please note that Weathertech has different product lines. I have not purchased yet, but as I understand it they have:
- Floor Mats - All Weather - these may not be truly custom fit - $100
- Floor Liner - Digital Fit - I think these are truly specific to the vehicle - $160

I am thinking about the DigitalFit version - anyone tried it?

When I was buying, they did not have Digital fit mats for the Genesis, but I see now they do and these do cover the entire footwell. $159 though:eek:

Question concerning the "cargo liner"
1. When you have stuffed in the trunk like luggage, golf bags, etc....does is stay in place or will stuff slide all around. It looks to be a slippery surface.
2. If you think one is a good purchase...would the dealer be the best place to purchase one for a 2011?
Thanks.

I like the Hexomat trunk liner - I've used them in several cars in the past. They are great for trips to the nursery - mulch, topsoil, plants in pots, any messy stuff. In any case, with most trunk liners you'll still have stuff sliding around unless you secure it.

I have the Hyundai all-weather mats installed in the front of my car. They fit perfectly and do a good job of protecting the carpet. However when I tried to remove them to vacuum the carpet underneath, I broke one of the plastic retaining "buttons" that holds them to the carpet. The all-weather mats snap on easily enough, but once on, are really hard to remove. In exerting pressure with my hands to pull the mat off the plastic "button" the retaining assembly simply broke apart. Its a rather flimsy way of holding the mat on to the carpet. Now I've got a loose floor mat that may interfere with the gas pedal - a Toyota like problem. I wonder if any other Genesis owners have had trouble with the mat retainers?

I had the Hexomats for the front and rear of my 2011 4.6, but had to get rid of them. They smelled terrible. I aired them out and the company even sent me some spray to put on them, but that only temporarily covered the smell.

It seems as if the mats had been sprayed by a skunk. Aside from the odor, the mats fit well, looked good and kept the dirt and grime off the carpet.

I will be replacing with the Hyundai mats.

That's odd - I've had 3 sets of Hexomats and never experienced any odor at all.
