Genesis continues to sell very well!

The Genesis sedan is their "mid-size" offering going against the GS, M, as well as the E Class, 5 Series, A6, etc.

The Equus is their full-size offering going up against the other flagship sedans.

The smaller RWD sedan that is in the works will go against the compact segment - Infiniti G, IS, 3 Series, etc.

I would love to see a legitimate Genesis in the compact segment that competes against the 3Series, IS etc. A 4 door Gen Coupe if you will. Then two SUVs... an upscale SanteFe and a full size SUV would round out the Genesis luxury offering very nicely.

Regarding the AWD - I agree with other posters that up here in the great white north, Genesis sales are repressed by the lack of AWD. I rarely see a fellow Genesis driver in SE Wisconsin. My wife was against my 2012 Genesis for this reason alone! I had to convince here that winter tires are more important than AWD for most of our winter driving scenarios. Rumors seem to point that AWD is coming to the Genesis in a few years.

The SF will go upscale but won't be luxury (think something on par w/ the new Azera) - and will be available in LWB form for those who want a proper 7 seater.

The Veracruz will disappear for a year and come back (if it keeps the same name) as a proper luxury CUV.

Aside from a FWD-biased 7 seater CUV, I'd like to see Hyundai develop a RWD based sporty CUV.

Even tho the next Genesis coupe will go upscale, it really should be matched w/ the compact RWD sedan instead of the Genesis sedan.

In its place, Hyundai should develop a sporty "4-door coupe" (as Kia is contemplating) to give those who want sleeker sheetmetal and sportier handling another option.
