  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just bought a 2010 Genesis 3.8 Coupe, lightly used with 14.5K miles. Lost my 2006 Honda Civic in the Irene floods and was frustrated seeing dealer prices for used Civics with 30000+ miles being only around $1000 under the MSRP for a new one, so I thought that I'd make up for the loss in a big way. Test drove a new 2011 track and was offered 27K for it, but that was too high after all the extra charges. This one has less bells and whistles, but I paid $5000 less which makes a big difference to someone my age. It's a really nice car....FAST  compared to what I'm used to. Put my sister and mom in the back and floored it, scared the living daylights out of them :D

I'm a young guy but funny enough...a very conservative driver....especially in bad weather or when its dark out. I wanted this car for the handling and acceleration due to the high percentage of very aggressive drivers in this area...I feel more comfortable on the road in a powerful sport handling car which makes me able to get out of a sticky situation or dust tailgaters. Not only that, but the car is a lot faster than it looks with a relatively subdued appearance...i.e. not a cop magnet. Not much of a problem for me since my last (and so far, only) speeding ticket was about 5 years ago for passing someone on the highway who slowed down for the cop ahead, but still of some importance. Mileage is pretty good for a 300+ HP engine; I got 24 mpg in stop and go traffic with the gentle way I typically drive. So, that's basically my story. Nice forum you have here as well. Any other younger drivers on here?
