  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2. Intake
5. Exhaust
6. Power
7. Cosmetics - like may be some different lights (i.e., LED)
8. Body Kit

Intake - I have a short ram I've made, that I could probably market. I've had it on my car with the secondary cat deletes with no codes.

Exhaust - I don't have one yet. I know magnaflow has one out, but I just haven't had the time to do much R&D lately. I've been trying my best to get back on the project because I am shooting for a very specific sound/resonance.

Power - again...not much going on there with tuners. However, I hope to free some time to build a marketable supercharger. Again, I've been super busy and haven't had the time to R&D this stuff.

Costmetics - this is a field I don't handle. I modify current headlights, but the headlights themselves are a PITA to take apart.

Body Kit - I hand built a lip kit for this car and Extreme Dimensions should be marketing the kit soon. I don't have an ETA for you though.

I got gas the other day at Costco and at the pump next to me there was a guy with an Audi S5. He had a Borla exhaust and it was the best sounding aftermarket exhaust I have ever heard. He told me there is no drone at cruising speeds. When he left he got on it and it really sounded great. I would be up for something like that for the Genesis 4.6.

Most exhaust kits will not have drone just cruising around. Drone usually is present upon accelleration or if you have a lot of passenger weight. It's not something that happens at a steady speed. Borla has a kit available and also does MagnaFlow.

Brian, I know of a company interested in a bolt on air ride, I will talk to Chad abut it and see if you can help facilitate it.

MSA -

We have ben waiting almost a year for something from you...what gives??

The bolt-on air suspension kit won't happen. Just don't see it being cost effective for a company to do the R&D. We can't seem to get anyone to hack into the ECU. SUPER frustrating. I'm hoping I have an inside track in Korea. Hope this lead doesn't go dead.

No need for factory integration Id like to know if there is an aftermarket kit.

Tuning with something like Hypertech is a waste of time. All it really does is increase the timing which the Genesis does automatically with premium gas. Something more customized may be more up the alley of the more savy car fanatics...like HP Tuners. I own it for my Camaro...many pros use it to tune these cars and it's likely unless a simple option like Hypertech came out with one, we're up a creek doing it ourselves which I don't recommend.
I'd be interested more in a turbo'd version of this car with intercooler. It has decently low compression for a DOHC engine...enough to get 8psi thru an intercooler without issue. Approximate gain would be conservatively 15 hp/ and 20 torque per PSI. There you have probably mid/upper 400s RWHP and similar for torque. Probably hold up pretty well against my SS.
I haven't seen an intake kit really minus the K&N air filter replacement which does little and as far as exhaust goes...not sure I want a "luxury" car with a loud exhaust. Best you'll get out of it is maybe a few HP and either an annoying tone or something you wish you didn't spend $750 on (Borla) for a more aggressive tune. If you could chop out the cats and resinators then tune it so it doesn't show for inspections...you'll get better flow and a stronger tone, my 2 cents.
Minus digging into the internals of the engine (heads/cams) which I doubt most would do thus voiding the warranty or force induction, I'm not seeing much to improve the already decent performance of this car.
The car is new but growing traction. Give it another year or so...some manufacturer will come out with performance upgrades that could make sense at a reasonable price. Great car and as a performance enthusiast, I'm looking forward to it. If I could get the Genesis up to 500rwhp like the Camaro, I'd sell the SS and the Genesis would be a nice sleeper with lots of mods. I at this point dont see the internals/tranny, etc... holding up to that kind of power and since no one has tested it, at least not that i can see, no sense venturing down that path.

An air intake should be simple to design and market. I have one i built for mine already, the stock airbox didn't make it 2 hours before it got ripped out.
The rear cats have been deleted on mine and i'm currently running borla's exhaust. No drone at 80. Also think it has alot to do with muffler placement as the Borla's on my Benz drone but the mufflers are under the rear seat. I'd love to do a positive displacement supercharger on this car, or in the mean time atleast a shot of nitrous with a remote bottle opener but i'm worried about the trans. I didn't spend the $$$ for a V8 genesis only to blow a tranny up. But I honestly expected this car to be a little more powerful as my old turbo diesel Ford can outrun this thing.

I am looking for a way to get the blue mood light feature working like it does in the Korean spec Genesis.

I am curious if the module for the chimes in the 2012 opposed to to the bell sound that you hear when you press the engine start button will work on
previous Genesis models. I also like the 2012 tail lights but it would be very costly to make that change.

I am still interested in knowing about the possibilities of switching out the bell tone for the 2012 chime tone.

Cat deletes. I think there are 4 on the 4.6?

Any bypass pipes to bolt on?

Thanks. Oh, and some slotted rotors.

We make secondary cat deletes. Primaries would be a downpipe.

Bypass pipes??? Like a H pipe?

I haven't found it yet. I'm at SEMA looking.

There is a vendor on the forum that sells rotors. R1Concepts.com

I purchased a set of drilled and slotted rotors from them (front) and caliper paint for the rear calipers to match the front.
