  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Im looking to add wheel adapters to fill out some of the gap in my wheel well. the bolt pattern is 5x4.5 but I need to know the center bore diameter and thread size for the lug nuts. can anyone help me out? also if you have any previous experience with wheel adapters (other cars too) please let me know which ones you had and if they were any good.

thanks

Just a word of caution to anyone using Pay Pal. I ordered some wings from an E-bay vendor who only accepts Pay Pal on 12/07. As of today 12/15 no shipping conformation. Pay Pal pulled money from my bank account on 12/07 on 12/12 pay pal cleared payment to vendor and now on 12/15 vendor still has not receive money from Pay Pal.
Money gone and here I sit with no merchandise and no shipping date. Called Pay Pal and spoke to somebody who could hardly speak English they said basically “That’s just the way it is”.
Well this is the way it is in the future. I will not do business with any vendor who will only accept Pay Pal for purchase of merchandise.

i was scammed over $250 on paypal about two years ago. the guy blocked every form of communication with me (email, paypal, youtube, AIM, etc) and paypal wouldn't reimburse me. they just dont seem to care.

ok so I found out some of the specs I needed:
bolt pattern - 5x114.2mm
bolt thread size - 12x1.5
hub bore diameter - 67.10mm

this might come in handy for some of you guys if you decide to add wheel adapters or aftermarket wheels

My personal experience with paypal has been GREAT. The couple times I got took on ebay. paypal reimbursed me after the 30 day investigation they do.

Pay pal is the only way to buy online, imo.

You sound new to pp, Give them a couple more days, I'm sure things will work out ok for you.

I buy a few times a month trough Pay Pal and have never had any problems.
I got my credit in a timely manner when not receiving goods.
I would give them a few days, with the holidays, I'm sure they must be overworked.

Have a good one

For what it's worth, I put these on my R-Spec, $14.00 each at Autozone. They may not be wide enough for stock wheels, depending on your taste. I have 9 inch wide wheels and the tires I have are 1.5 inches wider than the stock ones. Just did a 2500 mile road trip with them and zero problems.

very nice. when i first noticed how pushed in my wheels were I thought about spacers at first but then I learned all the horror stories and their problems. the reason I want wheel adapters and not spacers is because spacing puts the wheel farther out without any support other than the studs. this can lead to bending or snapping of the studs=not good :/ but in your case, your only bringing out the wheel 5/16 of an inch so this is not very likely to happen to you. my rims are only 7.5 wide with a VERY positive offset (convex). i plan to do anywhere from 1 to 1.25 inches so spacers would be a big no no to me.

wheel adapters are hub centric so they attach to the hub as well as the studs. thus putting the pressure and weight of the car on the hub and the studs. its basically and extensions of the hub.

this is a very heavy two ton car and spending an extra $100-$140 for the protection of... well... basically the whole car doesn't seem too unreasonable to me.

Maxmaro4,
Exactly, each application would be different depending on wheels and ones taste.
